it is all a matter of the math I guess I cant disagree with the explosives are the best way to get 100% gain from what you buy but the hellfire has never been the best deal for explosives I do agree a few are a good idea but the gold sale should be considered unless your 2 g is burning a hole in your pocket if support gives you a deal great otherwise gold is on sale right now so is a good time to buy but sit on most of it and wait for explosives to come up in limited items buying all hellfires would be a waste of gold imo the 3 crates are still your best deal if you have any good luck with them at all... frankly and honestly you would be a lot better off not wasting your money on this and consider the fact that 2 grand is only get you to a place where you will need to spend more and more and more

just buy 10 crates , to see if you are lucky or not , if not then buy items you are sure to have lasting impact .
With fixed value , end deal once you get to the HL 60k border ,3000 gold translate to 1,500 increase in crates max.
like everything in Life trial and error , 2000 $ , the truth is nothing in this game at HL will probaly get you into the top 100 , but 2000$ spent earlier on will make you top 1 for sure ...

here is the calculations $- stats , $ is a throw away money for fun or disposable income .
Seeing it as anything else in this game , is a bit pointless and moot .

Anyway the people who have it don't talk about it , why you would be shocked how easily other people give up .

tony don't spend this money unless this is spare money weekly/monthly but if you have been given this or its a one time thing... don't do it. It isn't worth it because you will regret it later on. I only spend my spare money... i bought 4 vaults today and that is a bottle of champers for me on a night out. You need to think about how long you will be playing and your type of game play.

if you are going to buy the gold, i would get 10 vaults at first and buy crates. You will get a massive jump in stats considering how low level you are then switch to explosives or continue buying crates if you want more weapons.

I think it's fair to spend some money once in a while if you're actively playing and enjoying the game. It helps you get further and contribute to the games bottom line. But when you start spending so much that's beyond your means, that's where the real issue lies. I'm sure there'll be regulation in this space eventually once people start to realize the extent of the problem but in the meantime, just think carefully whether you can spend that much and whether it's going to take a meal away from you or your family. I've played the game for nearly a month and enjoyed every minute. I'm comfortable with a small buy here and there but no way will I ever spend to buy anywhere near $100 because I'm poor... Lol
