"The top 500 Players will win" - how is this scored, exactly? Is it simply who launches the most attacks over the period, or who has the most wins? Or other?

I honestly don't think so. I don't spend gold for events so won't spend gold on resets. I will attack as much as possible but there are plenty of people out there who will spend gold for this.

Seems that way WP, to be within the 500 mark you must have an all gold army, or are a member of team Pirate. so no big bonus again this time round. Still wont stop me from trying to reach Captain though.

I wonder if you remove an ally from your list does it remove you from your ex-allies list also? like does their list lower because you kicked them to the kerb.

Now that I am awake, unfortunetly, and eating this is a no go for me. 500 is a very small window! If I was in whale territory where ranking up didn't matter, I would. There will be more so I can then, but not right now. Focusing on the event is hard enough.

Still amazed at getting 13,000 valor in just two hours though! (Yes, another 1,000 already)

this new comp doesnt make any sense.

the top 500 players, will be gold spenders, who have quite possibly all gold armies, what good is a 20% reduction casulties if you dont have many in the first place?

also the amount of casulties playing in this pvp comp would be too high to take part in in the first place.
and there is no scoreboard or anything so you aimlessly wandering.

Not a chance of winning because: I am the wrong flag, lose a ton of valor units with every attack, and am not an insomiac. Also, I probably won't be able to keep up with the losses from all the whale attacks, so wasting more in my attacks seems like a bad idea.
The one person who just attacked me already has the Tirpitz unit in this event, and attacked me so many times he took all 8 of the camo bags I had. Not sure how this is even fun for some of these folks...

woops read that wrong not that it matters to me , these things should be split up fairly as this is just for the top players to go for , same old ,rich get richer story. protect the strong kill the weak . what happened to the new units we can buy with special event diamonds ??
