The reason I say that is because back when I used gold for opens and did resets, there have been 4 or 5 times where I had about 10 boxes and opened then reset and the last one always turned out to be the goal item. 4 or 5 is to much for me to think it is just a coincidence.

That's what I changed last event and I won, and I did it the same this event and I won. I also stopped stockpiling crates for the last event and didn't in this one. I got number 10 last event with 1 crate leftover and #10 this event with no crates left over. Of course, it could just be dumb luck coincidence. I DO believe in coincidence. But maybe worth a shot for anyone getting the same results event after event like I was.

Even if it is coincidence, the events take way less energy this way, way less time out of my life, and I level a lot slower while still getting plenty of chances. I don't think there is really anything you can do to make this happen, except maybe whatever McDoc is doing. :D

but because of these pvp tourney, it have ruined my philosophy, and now I am sitting with 199 packs to open..
this is nice, if we could arrange the order to open, like Kitty said, but we can't, and I got a feeling that the more packs you get, the more random the result is

Well I did it, I quit the events cold turkey!!! I didn't waste a single minute in this event. I didn't get stuck anywhere, didn't lose sleep, I didn't respond to my alarm every hour to attempt an open for 20 hours out of the day. I didn't level up and I didn't get my hopes up only to be disappointed again. I also didn't get any indestructible units but I can live with that.

Oh I also didn't compete in the "top 500" game either. I just quietly sat back here and played the game as I always do and increased my economy and my ATT/DEF points and stayed at the same level!!!! :-)

Good job. That's what I wanted to do until I accidentally raided some guys Navel research. Out popped a camo pack and the result.....stuck on 8 and leveled up to 69 almost at 70. Think I will fly the white flag. Out of packs and really don't want to be at level 70.

I think Funzio should still have events just not so close together and on top of one another. I can see where players at my level(69) have leveled way to fast and their stats are sub par. I know we all have to reach 100 + some day but you need to build your empire to so you can at least keep your head above water and have some fun with the game.

Thunder child. I realise that I've won this event, but I've been in your position every other event. The annoyance of continually getting sorries and grunts as the time slips away.
I've done less open attempts this event than any other. It was my B'day a little while back so had a number of family commitments as well as work. I admit I did try getting up through the night to do opens day one but that was it.
I to came close to quitting after failing event three. Was on nine for days and still failed.

I think we need to just find a balance. Don't let the event or the timer rule your life. As we well know, even fitting in as many as 120-140 open attempts still might only get us 8 or 9. I will be just playing events ad hoc, making open attempts without timers and sleeping as much as I like.

Don't let it spoil a game you enjoyed and try not let it make you quit. This forum would be made worse for your absence.

My man TC, you basically wrote the conversation I had with myself after the last event and promised myself that I wouldn't partake in the next event. I stayed true to that promise, got back to playing the game the way that I enjoyed most and didn't get wrapped up in the events or Funzio's tricksnto get campers to level up lol. I'm back to playing MW on my terms, not theirs. I'd probably have a different attitude if I had gotten to 10 on any of the events, but since I didn't, I just don't see the point anymore. The game is far more enjoyable for me without the events.

Tate, my insight on this one, is yes this loot is based on your level, and its just the same as the prizes which are divided into a few groups 10 - 20, 21-50, 51-80, and 81++
You should have the 500k, but been unlucky and only got the 100k's

Don't bother lane it's a waste now coming into the last day. If your gonna use gold in these events first day is the best.

Event G-Free Baby! My perception is that Gold only helps with opens and that the drop rate on the item is only increased due to the frequency of attempts.

If there is a great item 10 prize, I would go McDoc and try to lock it up in the first 24 hours with resets and G opens. I agree with yours and JP's theory that only having 1 crate on hand increases the odds.

On another note, I blew it by sitting out the PVP event. I have no doubt that I would have been in the top 500. I hope they have it again soon.

Here's how I did it,follow these 3 steps & I almost guarantee you'll get it!
1) Don't try!
2) Attempt to open every hour on the hour! (18-20 a day max or it may appear to the MW gods that you are trying)
3) After pressing the button,give your device a firm shake & scream out "Come On!!!"
Note: Step 3 is ineffective if you say the command under you breath while gritting your teeth!
Examples of places that may force one to do it wrong.(in a crowded elevator,lying next to your sleeping wife)

Cope, I'm with you on both the 1 crate theory and the PvP event. Seeing the numbers on the PvP event I think I could have gotten up there, the problem is I'd have had to have been buried in my iPad to the point my wife might have killed me! (she already refers to it as my second wife) That or use gold resets, and not about to do that. But it was more attainable than I originally thought.

Glad I stepped in here. Been stuck on 8 since day 2, seems I am not alone. I wish they would quit screwing with the algorithms for these events, it's annoying. No wonder people come in here so PO'ed after an event.

You know how the units change when you pass into a new level category (like when you pass the level 50 mark), has anyone on here ever passed into a new category mid event and received new units of the next category? For example, you get the units from #3, #5, and #7 at level 49, but then you level up a few times, passing into the next level category and get #9 and/or #10 from the higher level. Has anyone personally done that here?

to godlike, yes, when you lvl up you get the units from your new bracket

lol i think for these events the harder you try, the harder you fail. last event i half butted it and got the 9th and 10th items, i had previously never gone past 7. also from what i have read, the chances of you getting the last unit is between 0-1%

Ive not crossed into a different tier myself during an event but I do know that you will keep the units you won in the former tier and when move to the higher tier, any unit you win next will be from that higher tier. so if you are A short distance away from, say lvl 50 when an event starts or during... It could be a benefit to go ahead and lvl up to get the higher stat units of the next higher tier.

I have done this exactly...I started the event on lvl 41, got 1 - 8 quickly in the first 2 days, and then a drought of plans, plus the PvP events, which pulls me to lvl 51, and then boom!! 9 and 10th in lvl 51, so I get the upgrade of stat for the last 2 items...

the bracketing would be 1-20, 21-50, 51-??(guessing 80), and 81- all the way to the top

Thanks for the response. I was just wondering if maybe there was some glitch if you do it mid way through. I passed through at #8 and have been stuck there for 5 days. Never took more than 2 days to get #9 on any previous event. This is craziness!

OMG OMG OMG I just got it with 45 mins left! 10 plans! Can't believe it. It's 7.15 in the morning here, tried opening 5 in the night all sorries. Opened thinking nothing would happen and bang the plan came up. There is time guys, used some gold but for the last 24 hours have all been cash opens.

nahhh, as soon as I get it on my iPad (my serious ID), I switched directly to my iPhone, and now still opening in OT to get the final plan...hope I get it also on my iPhone...that way, you will lose, because I have two...lololol

yup, this was the most difficult event for me...really big gap from 8 to 9...
overlapping events with pvp...but overall still happy because my record is still perfect throughout the events, although unlike McDoc, I am now 4 out of 4! hurray!!

Commiserations for me just opened my final box to reveal 500k so I did a Bronson and finished on 9 again. That's me done for the events for a while gonna sit the next one out and keep to my strategy.

Is 3 or 4 units really worth 2 levels especially if only the last 2 would help your army???

got 3 sorries in OT today and decided to turn it off. Last time I kept going for about 10 opens and got quite a lot of loot

According to Funzio you will not get any parts after the timer on the server... others have reported differently though.
