What is going on with hero weapons

I have better hero weapons but it has changed to the Latern of Souls with 3-5 stats. I had the Tome of Winter at 5-5 states but it no longer is showing for my hero. Everyone I check on my rivals list I see the same thing. Is this a glitch?

I dunno but I too have a similar problem. I used to wear the Light Dipped Sword but ever since I got the Rune Axe, it switched to it. Now, ever since I leveled up like 6 or so levels ago, I've been stuck with the Light Dipped Sword for some reason.
