I do wake up several times and open a safe and fell asleep again...that only took a minute, but gave me some extra chances

I've also missed rare painting event because of the traffic, ended up with 8 only (lowest for me). Just move on, plenty of chances in the future.

According to my records, in my last 4 successful events, the 10th drop rate over successful opening is 3.3%-10%, 10th drop rate over all tries is 1.6%-4.7%. That should be the design of this game. If you don't use gold and stuck on 9 for 4 days, how many did you open every day? Is your wifi fast enough? Are you using P2P/BitTorrent/Youtube or anything that will take a lot of bandwidth while opening a safe?

I just got the thing a few minutes ago and used no gold! Was this event longer? I think this one went 7 days instead of 5 or 6. The extra day(s) made a difference for me if that's the case.

The extra day(s) also made this event more difficult I guess, just like the bossbag event, in which I stuck on 7 for 4 days and finally end up with 9 ( the 9th dropped from "Free Option" wtf)

I know how you feel, the odds were way too low in this event. i think i opened about 150 safes after getting the 8 part before i was able to get the 10th one. If it makes you feel any better, the gun is not even as good as advertised, the way they wrote the code it appears that they round down, so you don't even get the full 40% increase in respect. a lot of times i only got 1 rp after fighting someone

i actually got 10, no gold spent with 3days left in the event. it felt good not to worry bout opening boxes every hour. i went threw 13 fails in a row then got the 10th. i think it was 3days 15hrs left on my clock

Hey hank, it seems they are not using rounding calculation.

What is the original respect range, 1 to 8?
If so then 1.4-2.8-4.2-5.6-7-8.4-9.8-11.2. would end up with 1,2,4,5,7,8,9,11 by just "down".
But according to my in game test, 1,2,3,4,5,6 RP gain all appeared more or less after fight. Ya I don't see the 40% more is functioning well.:(

I got the 10th in OT, I did use 120 TJ gold, none got me a gun part.

@iceman @Babytway It is hard but it is also possible to keep getting event items without gold. Most people may thought I'm too lucky but my 10th whatever never had a drop rate greater than 5%, while some people got 10th in a few tries after 9th. For every event the drop rate decreases just as CCMark stated.

I'm guessing the event is designed as, if every hour is made used of, non-gold players got about 50% chance to get event items. And if I still have time to play plus nothing changes to the drop rate design, I will still get half event items without gold.

Perhaps I shouldn't make such posts anymore...just stay low and keep opening with cash in the future.

My thinking is that everyone has a predetermined outcome just with some having needing more to open than others. Alice is just one of the luckyer ones with less to open than the rest of us. Thats why the OT is such a great thing, you have the abillity you clime that ladder and get the final item. It took me 5days and 3 hours to get from 9 to 10.

See my #8 reply, the average is about 20 per day, say if I sleep 7 hr and wake up in the middle of sleep 2-3 times, I could make it.
