Problems with latest MW update

The new update (the one that assigns a rank to you) ab-ends on me every time I attack anyone who is participating in the latest event. If I attack someone and they are not participating everything is fine. This is on my iPhone 3GS. Is anyone else having a similar problem. It makes the game almost unusable right now,

I'm not having any issues with the game, they fixed the ranking issue and their is no more crashing any more. I actually like the new update (this thread should be in the tech issues fourm)
