Why to farm Kane Da Silva vs Ma Sheng

I've just recently switched back to farming Kane Da Silva here are my reasons:

Assumption is all weapon drops are top-tier RP equivalents:

Kane da Silva

- Item Drops : 72% chance Armor, 22% Melee, 6% Vehicle. On average the drop is worth 813 RP (.72 * 800 + .22 *750 + .06 * 1200)
- Cash Drops: Average $1,099,000
- Energy Cost: 588 * 20 = 11760

Ma Sheng

Item Drops: 72% Melee, 22% Armor, 6% Gun. Ave Drop worth 776 RP
Cash Drops: Average $1,036,500
- Energy Cost: 576 * 20 = 11520

Let's assume a one year time horizon where you get 4,800 energy per day * 365 days = 1,752,000 energy per year...

Value in RP of weapons:
Kane da Silva = 1,752,000 / 11,760 * 813 = 121,120
Ma Sheng = 1,752,000 / 11,520 * 776 = 118,016

Kane da Silva +3,104 RP

Cash Drop:
Kane da Silva = 1,752,000 / 11,760 * $1,099,000 = $163,728,571
Ma Sheng = 1,752,000 / 11,760 * $1,036,500 = $157,634,375

Kane da Silva + $6,094,196.

So, not game changing differences, but for me it's enough to switch to Kane da Silva for now.

imo the experimental mech suit is the best loot item and tough guy low rider, but the problem is the tough guy low rider rarely drops i have yet to have one drop. where the exp mech suit has dropped, i prefer to farm ma sheng

Rifle: Strictly better than the most powerful RP gun. Can only be replaced by gold items (or future unreleased content?)
Lowrider: Better defense than most powerful RP vehicle. Attack replaced by top tier RP vehicle. Cash vehicles can boost the defense provided by Exelero, provided a strong economy has been established.

Match point: Ma Sheng.

Why? The Tonfa is melee and the pads are armor.

Or do you say that because they are both the more common drops?

I like Ma Sheng since he usually drops a melee item which is where I need the most help. I have farmed guns (m4a1's), cars (double deckers), and armor (urban vests), but never found a good melee farm item until now with Ma Sheng. It's slow going, even with the devil gun, but what else we gonna do while waiting for the monsters, scratchers, and other new content promised "soon" weeks ago.....

so many arguments here...I'm farming both, leave them both at 19/20, save up 1200 energy and wait for the next collection, that'll give me like 2.5million at one time, plus my savings to build a hotel or level up Lofts.

@dudeman exactly. You are really just farming those 2 items and lucking out on a few of the others here and there.

Ratios are 72% 22% 6% at an over 24hr drop rate even with DTD and GF. Im sitting at an 88% 12% 0% myself.

I just thought of another reason to like hitting Ma Sheng. Every Chinese Assault Rifle kills an M4A1. :D

I just got my 4th CAR for a gain of 15/2. Not bad, but it is the rarest loot item from Ma Sheng and it does less for me than the (common) Reinforced Tonfa. Kane's (rare) Toughguy Lowrider would benefit me far more than the Cagefighter pads, but it would be a waste of time for me to go after the pads and hope to get the vehicle sometimes.

I think you have to look in the value based on the most common drops, since that is what really happens. If you are already loaded up on Chain Whips, Ma Sheng might not be for you. If you are already loaded up on UWVs, Ma Sheng is probably for you.

Since I already have the buy in for Ma Sheng, I am gonna stick with him and spend my RP on Exeleros rather than CWs from this point forward.
