BUT here it is!

Have had trouble getting boxes. Have gotten 5 total. 2 props, 1 grunt, and 1 petty cash, with one left to open. 2 or 3 sorries in there. All pvp, but have raised as fast as if I was doing missions due to so few people having any. If the next open isn't a prop, I'm going to drop out of the event and resume camping, otherwise I'm only in this for another single level raise anyway.

Really have a crap load of upgrades I need to focus on if I'm going to continue enjoying my relative strength going forward.

Just got my third, guess I'm in this for another level. Kinda hard to get into this one. The stats and looks of #10 are great IMO, and it's a sea unit so I'd really appreciate it, but such a minor valor boost. Not worth throwing my energy into it and leveling too fast. Definetly not staying up late for it, but may get up an hour early, assuming I can find another box before lights out. If I can get 5 it will have been worth it.

Did a set of attacks on one of my regular targets. Got 2 boxes. Opened one and got a propellor. Actually a good start for me compared to other events. At least so far.

@cope - got sucked in to pvp ranking a bit myself, only to a lesser degree. Still too cautious about leveling too fast, but I have managed to get about midway through corporal. Restrained myself in anticipation of the event. Thinking I might be able to hit sargent by the time I'm ready to drop out.

I'll be in France for the rest of the event. Hope I can find a wifi network, if not, no sense playing the event anymore - 3G data cost would probably be equivalent to a whole bunch of crates - in that case I think I would opt for buying those instead. Somewhat similar to the decision not to use gold on events

Observation: Since I was saving up for lvl 5 Oil Rig upgrade when the event started, I decided to use the bare hand option until I had enough cash to do my upgrade. First day I got 3 parts, one mech rover and the rest where sorry's. I was kinda surprised about the relatively good score compared to the rusty knife option.

I am level 152 so have to pay 152000 per opening. It seems the amount you pay or level has something to do with luck in opening. Out of the first 10 I opened I got 8 propellers and two not opened.it seems there is something involved.

Thanks for posting that, the one oddity I have been noticing throughout these events is that our crew can be hot and cold for example my one brother had great success last event and now is doing terribly, I have seen this 'rotation' through all four of us over the past 5 events so I have to wonder if there is some sort of tag being placed within our accounts.

Interesting. Although I did make it to 8 last event but it was a very rough start. It seems for me just about every other event I either start off fast with parts or very slow.. Always make it to 8-9 using medium though.

It is like this, give a man a fish, or teach him to fish-which is more productive? Giving multibuild is simply giving the fish. It's too easy. The point of this game is to learn and strategize around the difficulties. Once we have multibuild and unlimited vault and no casualty and fast upgrades, what next...? I prefer challenge. New PVP rank looks like the ability to fish, I think PVP might work out as a money making venture once we unlock those units. Funzio's smart in this regard.

Hey Bronson! I sure did. I'm currently a first rank Sergeant and only about 1700 BP away from Lieutenant. I love the rankings system, but I don't like the way units are lost in PVP. Still out of wack in my opinion..

Thanks Johnny. I honestly thought the developers made adjustments to PVP when they released the rankings system, but it still sucks big time. Why should I lose Super Hornets to a weakling who has 1/3 the A/D I do???

@ Errol - it seems to go in batches with bare hands opening. You can get 7 or 8 'sorrys' and then this afternoon I got 3 props in 3 tries. I went from 2 props and nada to 2 shiny new units in 3 hours :) Stick at it.

You'll need to go to cash openings by about day 3 or 4 however as the open rate drops.

Personally, I think you should try and get as many as possible opens on the first day.

I reckon on the first day you have a better chance as no one has any... not 100% sure on that or anything!

I didn't open a single one until mid morning on the 2nd day. i really didn't want this prize, but I have been doing so much PVP lately and leveled up 2 levels from PVP only that i figured i could use the extra valor so i wanted to try it.

So I'm really hopeful of getting to 10 even though I know I'll be sitting here at 8 for a while. Still far more pleased with this event then previous events. I'm still at 7, I've never made it past 9. I think events like this are great though. As a free player,get the opportunity to get some indestructibles. People complain ,a waste a cash. You can always make that cash back. You lose units, you can always buy them units back. I camp, so yea, leveling up isn't a pro but I'm a lvl 60 ,leveling up a lil bit at this point isn't gonna hurt..sometimes I'll stop doing an event after I get the first 3 depending on the last one. Or I'll skip an event altogether. I didn't like the medic event so..pick n choose. I was a bit of a complainer at the beginning of the game,but now that I see how a free player can manage to keep up with gold buyer,can't complain.

Not sure it's a glitch Warfiend. Thunder Child is on another post saying the same thing. We both are experiencing it, but we are also both at L100 and above..we were just talking about it.

Sorry guys - I've been AFK because I was Dj'ing at Camp Pendleton for a bunch of Marines & I was outside with no WiFi.

Anyway - I wasn't even going to go after this one - was taking it very slow in the beginning with cash opens. Got like 4 Props in 7 opens - then Micky was going through a hot streak and I jumped on his coat tails and got 4 in a row with gold opens and resets about 4am (7 hours into the event) so I went to bed with 8 that 1st morning - got my 9/Th when I woke up with about 6 Gold opens / resets.

Then I took it easy again thinking I pretty much had it in the bag with 9 props in less than the 1st 12 hours - go I used gold for opens - but no resets. So I ran out of my original fill of gold (12 Pack) did more cash opens (only got like 3 sorries out of about 20 opens. I was floating by on the hourly free gold from Tapjoy before that got nerfed - and then decided on to get a half fill (6 Pack). Did about 6 resets - and then went back to hourly gold opens. I was stuck on 9 for over 48 hours - then I finally cackled open the 10th part at whatever time I posted it - on my way out the door this morning.

I was actually a little p-turd that my Green Dragonfire would be knocked off my top row of 3 amazing Aircraft since that fancy boat had higher stats - but luckily with my Nation / Air Hanger Bonus / Boost - the Green Dragonfire stacked up enough hidden points to outrank the Boat.

As far as Valor boosts - I have the +2 Valor from a previous event - and you guys say the boat has +40% now - so in my recent battle reports - I was getting about 13 - 17 VP where before I was getting like 7 to 10. .-.

I hope you ALL get it :). I have almost 60 crates now from PvP and the Admiral has pretty much dropped one on every attack.

45 is cheap! If it were guaranteed to get 10, I would drop 500+ G no problem. Problem is I've dropped 5 times that in the past and failed.I know what you mean! Last event I dropped more than a vault of gold and still was stuck at 9. I had never done that before and will never do it again, but was trying to follow McDoc's and Micky's method and it didn't work for me - they have the midas touch.

So this event, I reverted back to my 45 gold offering superstition, that I give credit to winning the level 10 prize for the 20% upgrade faster and 65% energy recovers faster events.

Of course, I'm not giving due credit to the fact that I promptly opened something every hour on the hour! :) Perseverence really won, but it's funner to say the event gods took care of me.
