Funzio ploy to get rid of old loot items?

Just wondering if it's a short term strategy to get rid of the loot items and weed them out of the incredibly long list of ones that have been issued over time?

I know it would mean everyone would have to play often and it's never going to make them obsolete but pvp is taking one every attack I make.

At least it will make it easier to find that low loss glitch then.....

The guy I have been keeping my eye on has completed over 500 missions since I noticed him and hasn't lost a single one, his loot items just keep on going higher....

I think Funzio has make the casualty rate very high
I just attacked a player that only had 7k atc/def while I have 40k and every attacked I lost a super Hornet (had to stop at #4, not worth it)
