I don't think this is purely random. Funzio must delibrately change the odds so as to maximize its profit.

At first, I thought Blow Torch option and TNT option will be different in the chance to open. After reviewing several people's record, I believe it will also affect the chance to win gun parts in a successful open.

My thoughts, hopes exactly. I know that there have been several updates in the last 24 hours, so you theory about shifting the odds makes sense. Hopefully, they increase them tomorrow.

After the 9th part, I've successfully opened 11 gun safes. According to my previous records, the 10th will drop within about 30 successful opens after the 9th. There is still hope!

I agree with you dudeman. I read your records since mine is on the same page. We both have more 100 opens and around 40 successful opens after #8 gun part. Cannot believe it's purely bad luck that you cannot obtain the 9th one out of 40 tries. I believe now gold not only determines the chance of successful opens but the chance of gun part in a successful open.
If I'm correct, it means that these events are becoming parties of gold spenders instead of dilligent non gold spenders.

Stuck on 9 for 3 days, the drop rated for loot varys, I have had to go through a whole level and them some just to get enough cases because i Keep opening them. Usualy i level very sowly when getting boxes because they dont open. only get enough to do the events.

No it's not. Respect bonus is not that useful for gold players as gold items are way too powerful. The last two gun parts may cost more than 2000 gold, with that you can definitely by more powerful items.

I too was stuck on 8 for over 3 days, then this morning I got 9. I then bought 50 gold no more, set low budget not getting burned again. I then went and rest, cash open got carnival, then repeated got baton, then one more rested and cash open got 10th.

This is the 1st end item I have recieved, so I'm really happy to finally have at least one.

Looks like I was on the wrong side of luck this time around. Been stuck on 9/10 for the last 4+ days (been getting a minimum of 20 attempts/day using the cash option). Decided to use gold in a last ditch effort to get the last gunpart. I ended up using right around 2100 gold with no luck. Those of you thinking about using gold might want to consider how far you want go.

Lofts give a base 14RP so I doubt that it would have given you an increase. It also factors out the levels of the two players a little, so getting additional RP over the base from your level wasn't surprising. You'd be looking for RP in the range of >19 from a level 1 loft if it did indeed increase RP reward from robs.

One question about the final prize even though i won't get it:

Does it round the number up/down or truncate it? Lets say you have a fight and you end up with 7.6RP when calculuation:
Round down: 7RP
Round up: 8RP
Truncate: 7RP

Which does that game do??

Kinda makes up for TL goals going away in 2 more rounds. Extra bonus is I can nail rats and still get the points. Win!

I hear ya dude man. I have yet to get any end item and usually get 15-19 opens a day on every event. I got to the point early on this time where I just expected to not make it. Getting pissed every hour when my alarm goes off. When you first teach a dog to play catch, you reward it for bringing the object back. If you don't reward it every now and then it will stop coming back.

Dudeman, I also had 130 attemps before the last hour (It should have been 140+ if I hadn't been busy this week), but still stuck at 9 after 14 gold opens. I was desperate then and bought 240 gold twice and dumped all on time resets and gold opens. It gave me extra 16 gold open oppurtunities but still cannot find the 10th gun part. I have two opens after the event ends but still useless items. I'm running our of crates so I have to stop. In all, I have 30 gold opens and 6 medium opens after 9 but still cannot obtain the final award. At least you are not the unluckiest one. :p

Well, my son has been stuck on 8 since opening attempt number 24...finally with number 102 he got the 9th...at the 78th try! Even though it is not the 10th can't complain for a cash open. Well, it just goes to show you should never give up...oh, yeah this was 2 hours after the event end lol :p

Further to the above, 12 hours after event end we got the 10th! So, both 9th and 10th after event end...made my son very happy when he woke up this morning!

Just got chain gun 5th gold piece so happy since we started this event late on android so that's it from me. I am done so happy i got 2 items from the event. I know i would never 10th item but i would love 7th item maybe that aim for next event

Well got my 7th piece just now which was unexpected since i quit on Friday LOL. 3 item out 4 not bad first event :)

I think your chances decrease if you make gold deposit.
I was at 8th before buying any gold, it took me 2 days to get the 9th one.
During these 2 days, I spent about 480 gold + 15 usual 1hr intervals. so about 46 attempts.
This isn't a fair event. If you buy gold, your chances will decrease.
basically, I spent about 100 attempts after my 8th one, I only got ONE!!!
I've decided to not use any real cash on this game anymore.
Good luck to you! and don't waste your money.

same here... i got some gold on me and use it but nothing.. and i have play many and many day.. mayve i miss 4/5 times per days... i stay on 8 gun safe for 3 days... i spend miney and gold.. for nothing.. if u have gold u don't have gunsafe, or u need to spend all gold.. sure... so never... anyway so many time for nothing.. or poor items :/...... next time i switch event and i swith to buy gold.. trust me.... Funzio take me one time not 2 times... for make 1 to 8 i use 1 day time.. and after ? 5 day with nothing.. the shame... i open so many time... got scamed no more...

I'm considering the same. I feel like I've a huge disadvantage over the people who did win the guns. I'm fine with that, luck is luck, but the stat + bonus difference is kinda.. out of line for me.

I got stuck at 8 for the final four days, and I am pissed. There were two days added to the schedule, and I logged over thirty attempts in that time frame and did not get a single gun part. At first, I consoled myself with the guns I received but then I realized that the firepower they added was still far less than the M1A1s assault rifles I'd had taken away days before.

I should have had gold coming to my account for one of the promotional offers, but there was a problem. I talked to the other company who said that they would be more than happy to do a conference call with Funzio to remedy the matter, which I relayed to Funzio. They never responded.

Crap customer service. Shakedown promotions. Regular glitches. I really like this game, but I'm beginning to wonder if there are better ways to spend my time.

Wow, a lot of OT gun parts. I should have left it open longer. I gave up after about 24hrs post event.:p It just gets really boring because you can't really play CC, MW or KA during OT for fear of crashing. My loss.

Yep, you have to be 100% disciplined to prolong it from crashing for as long as possible. It pays off sometimes...my son got 9th & 10 in 12 hours of cash open OT attempts...:D

I got lucky to hit 9/10 on one account, but have been stuck at 8/10 for days on my other account and I think you're right - given the anecdotal evidence and experience of others in this post, it seems that the probability drops drastically after 8/10. There seems to be many people at 8/10, but not many at 9/10 or 10/10. I surmise that they are structuring the events to try to entice people to spend gold after hitting 8/10, although there will always be a lucky few that get 10/10 without it.

Yup that right and why i stay at 9/10 in 5 days..... For spend gold....they hit me but one time :-) now using free to play, im new in game but this event open my eyes realy fast.... Next event i use if i have time...cuz all i done before u start,!

Me too...I must say this 10th item prize is definately a game changer. Kinda new to CC from MW & KA, so I knew the concepts of the event and the overall game strategy. But, being that this was my first event in CC, this 10th item prize has been a huge bonus for me. I had 9 parts in the first 30 hours of this event and got the 10th with 1 day, 4 hours remaining. Lots of silenced uzis, hazmat suits, wrestlers mask and extra mafia members along with quite a few sorries for me as well.
