Modern Loft

Trying to keep this short and sweet.

I want a level 5 Modern Loft to have as an event building, but I'm not sure if it's worth the time/cost to build/upgrade it. The reason I specifically want one ML at level 5 is because it pays over $20k/hr and would pay for my participation in events instead of having to withdraw cash from the bank every hour.

I'm not sure if i should build it though. It would be worthless to me at any level lower than 5 and I have other upgrades on which I would rather spend the time and cash.

My only alternative build option though is a Missile Turret, just because currently that's all that fits into my plan (with maybe the exception of the Modern Loft).

Should I build the Modern Loft, or will that just hinder my economic growth?

IF you could fit a 8/7 building in there it would be aprox $23'000'000 cheaper to build a Beach Nightclub, thoug it would take 282 hours instead of 142h.

Prices are based on upgrades without any event items. I feel your reasoning, and I've been very close to upgrading both my BNs' to level 3 so I could do the same.

/e If it will hinder your economic growth? Depends on your IPH.

If you take "total cost / total upgrade time" you get ~$53M/142 = $378'049/H.
If you make that or more, it shouldn't really be a big problem. You only postpone your increase in income with ~6 days.

I was thinking of doing something similar, small 1 hour, leveled to where it pays enough for event open attempts.

Leave it in the corner, don't collect from it except when events are on, or maybe collect so it is bait to get News backlinks.

I hate having to withdraw money every hour, very boring, waste of clicks. Yours is the one click option. Also works as a reminder for when hour is up, and open attempt is possible. I like. +1.

I thought about the BN, but due to the larger footprint and longer upgrade times I decided against it. I currently have enough space to finish building Missile Turrets and potentially one Modern Loft, and when I purchase the next expansion I will be able to fit 2 Casinos. Space isn't tight, but most of my free spaces are reserved for planned future development.

I went for the Modern Loft. The BN is super ugly near the ML and he is too big.

My last three builds were two modern lofts and a beach nightclub - just for this same reason. I'm gonna sell my clothing store and build another BN in a few hours.

I have 2 lvl 2 BNs and 2 lvl 1 MLs, if they are ready to collect at the same time as my LMs, I never have to withdraw for events until I reach lvl 140

I used to have a different strategy that usually saved me from having to withdraw from the bank, but that strategy relied on doing single click map jobs. Now that I'm beating up Ma Sheng all day I need a new plan to avoid hourly bank withdrawals.

I'm strongly leaning towards building the ML now. I was on the fence, but it looks like there might actually be more arguments in support of this decision than against it. Cool :cool:
