Win fight but gain no money?

I just attacked a player at a 100 level who according to his profile had $35,000. I beat him a number of times and gained nothing except briefcases and respect.

I even re-visited him, and his profile remained at $35k

Is this possible?

Sounds like he was pulling out 35k at a time to buy something and you just barely missed him the first try.

This is just conjecture based on my own personal experience of course but doesnt raise eyebrows with me.

just go robbing to get some cash

I've had the same issue. I think he banked the cash just before I attacked him.

When you go into someone's hood, you can see which buildings can be robbed, and what his stats are. That doesn't change when he collects his buildings or banks his cash, but you can notice the fact that he did such a thing. For instance, you won't win cash when you attack him. If you want to rob someone and he has already collected, the moneybag will remain but there will be a pop-up saying that it's already looted and that there is nothing left to rob.
