Things I've learned to do since joining the forum...

Learning how to contact support (seriously didn't know this existed)
Learning what a UDID is
Learning a completely different way (but way better) to play this game
Learning a new language (forum talk)
Learning that there were many other people as obsessed about this game as I am (actually more obsessed than I)
Learning how to transfer my game back and forth (made me buy an iPad)
Learning how to post pictures on this place (cumbersome if you ask me)
And finally, how to spend gold in a wwwaaayyyy more beneficial way

On the same course, I realized that people read a lot into what you say from your avatar. I'm always mean and angry, you're well tanned and like digging for gold more than you like buying it in-game. Haha.

I think I know the guys and gals on the forum better than I know many of my RL "friends". I believe it may have something to do with people being more willing to be their real selves while behind an avatar - if that makes any sense.

I learned that too. Kind of glad I had started a camper account to turn to when I learned I sucked!

Or can really afford all those things they let people believe ?
People only let you know what they want you to know :p ,
It is all assumption very few indeed are who they say they are online .

The very few people who are who they are in RL I can count on one hand .
You know play acting is a human nature , same as romances ,first month they are on there best behaviour .
Very few are straight forward the way they are for the rest of there life .
Same counts for the internet .

It's easier to talk behind a mask, but it's harder to mask behind a talk. This picture is the perfect example...so yes, I do agree with you that it's much easier to be ourselves online than in real life.

He looks how I feel. Ive had a hard life and my avatar displays that journey for me.

I've never actually read any of the graphic novels with Sgt Rock I just really relate to his pic.

I am a direct, sometimes abrupt person but will do anything I can for a comrade, virtual or otherwise.
