Game lags badly after accepting requests

Lately whenever I accept allies requests the game instantly lags up and wont come good unless I restart the game. Have also being experiencing a lot of crashes as well, mostly when Im fighting other players and most annoyingly it happens when I beat someone and get a huge payout. Restart game and that player is gone. Iphone 3GS.

Ok Ive just realised that simply going into the allies section is lagging the game, even without adding anyone.

Help.
