I'm currently at 8. I had a dry spell of 15 attempts between 6 and 7 vaccines. Please report back how many attempts you have once you receive your 7th vaccine.

Got number 6 may-3-2012 at 3:33PM
and my number 7 this morning at 7:12am
it took me 14 tries to get #7 (got 1 x 500VP, 1 Ghost hound, 1 Armored Charges and 10 sorries out of which 7 were in a row)
I average 21 tries per day (no glitches)

I average about 15 or 16 a day; current at #54 tries with 8 vaccines.

BTW, I made it to #10 on event #3...the one with 20% faster build time in about 68 tries. All in-game cash.

Well in my case got the first 7 cases pretty quickly, but the 8th took a while and have been stuck there for over a day.

Was hopeful that I might have a shot at the holy grail, but it is not looking as strong as the odds are starting to kick in.

On the other side, picked up 2 more grunts. Ugh.

Funny, I got the first 6 in only 14 attempts. Took 16 attempts to get the 7th vaccine. Going for the 8th vaccine and I have already opened 8 boxes, mostly "Sorry" or a worthless freaking ally. I don't expect to get 10, they are too hard to open without gold. But finding 7 was tough beyond coincidence, judging by what I am reading. Funzio can't help but tilt the odds in their favor. nah, ive set myself a limit of a vault after i lost a good amount on last event tryin to get from 8 to 10. this event gone well, all gold openings, few vaccines came back to back, less grunts or cash, no resets needed. around 500 gold all in all so still some left for the biodomes :)

Yeah, I've done it. Got to 7 fairly easy. Opened approx 10 packs to get to 8. Then a further 40 to get from 8 - 10.
Mainly gold opens with some resets mixing p with cash opens as well.

thx, if u can manage to open 100 should be in good shape, but i really cant give advises or something like that. this event was very easy for me, last 2 not. its pure random and gold just makes sure it opens and not waste money on a sorry and another hour waiting. all i can say open as many as possible and have a good portion of luck

Another 4 tries, another 4 "Sorry"s. Why is Funzio so damn stingy with the prize? They give away plenty of weak free units, why not make the big prize easy enough for the dedicated to get. In the overall picture, 2OO points is just a few decent units, and by level 50 I have gotten used to losing units. With everyone saying the same thing, it's not just chance. The odds of you getting vaccines decreases the more vaccines that you have. Once you get 6 you are going to go through hell to get more without using gold.

The last event I went through nearly 60 sequential fails trying to get the prize. With only 41 hours left there is no way to get the remaining vaccines without using gold, the odds are too high against it. Free users are screwed on these events.

Haven't got a single cash open, and I just popped open my ninth vaccine. Only 2 500 valor opens as well, opens are vaccine or loot mostly.

Except for the first event, this is the slowest and worst I have ever done in an event.
I think I must have gotten over 50 % "Sorrys" (all money opens) - a rate which I have never had before.

Anyhow, as long as still get the 10/10 at the end of the event. I'll be smiling. :o

If they were giving out the same ones each time so I could build a small army of them, that would have been worthwhile. But I have no incentive to do this again if they won't let you have the big prize without grassing their palms.

lol the first event ever was like that for me. Now i don't lose any sleep over it.

I have this electronics superstition that if I hope for the vaccine (or whatever the item), the thoughts run through my head to my finger on the iphone as a specific electric signal and results in an empty box. If I think of something else, I usually come out with at least something, loot unit, money, and sometimes what I actually want.

I must say that I'm loving this event. I won the 10th unit early yesterday, and still have 45 boxes left. I'm going to keep opening them, because this is a good chance to get extra cash, units, and valor points which will come so handy later on in the game.

For those who haven't won yet, keep trying! I didn't win the 10th unit in the last event until the very end (58 minutes left). So for those who say you cannot win in the last day, not true.

But, I do understand the frustration. I didn't win the Response Unit in that event, and I really wanted it. Don't give up!!:)

News Flash - I'm not joking. I'm pissed. They keep telling us there is no deception, it's all fair and the odds are the same regardless. Yet every person gets the first 6 pretty easy and then it dries up - consistently - for everyone.

This is the last time I do one of their bull**** events. I'll never spend any gold and I will always hate gold players. That's what they are hoping to erase, the dislike free players have for gold players. So they figure "if everyone has some indestructable pieces the stigma will disappear". It won't - the bottom line is I still work to get mine, not ask mommy for a quick buck so I can one-up the next guy without having to actually do anything. I take delight in knowing when a gold-player gets his butt kicked when attacking me that I did it without taking the easy way out. That I built my empire by planning and working at it.

When some gold player hits me and I see he has 10,000 in attack and is only making 60,000 an hour, I know he is going to have to pay real cash to get rid of me, because at 350K an hour, I just keep buying units and attack.

And what is really "sorry" is that it's nothing. It's a bunch of virtual prizes in a virtual world. Nothing is real in MW, only the money you spend to buy gold. At the end of the day you have nothing you can put on your mantle. No precious prize to take out and pass around. Everything is just a bunch of data stored on a server. But Funzio is so tight with their god-damn virtual nothings that they slant the odds so it's nearly impossible to win without using gold. I hear you, but trust when I say that your argument has been expressed many times before. However, at the end of the day, you shouldn't hate gold players, because the developers/Funzio are what decided to give the option to purchase gold and use in the game, not the players. Why should you get so upset over someone making a decision to purchase gold? It doesn't affect you directly.

Yes, generally gold players will have an advantage over non-gold players, but not all the time. There are plenty of non-gold players who have great stats and continue on in the game beating both gold and non-gold players. At the end of the day, someone will always be stronger. Forget about the gold players and just play to have fun. At least you're not losing any of your hard earned $, win or lose.

Ya, I find it disappointing that the game is limited in these events. Frustratingly, for the 3rd or 4th event in a row... I got 7 vaccines the first day, but never was able to get to 10. When we had to collect the plane parts, I had 7 up until the last 3 hours of the event, then I received two parts right at the end. So disappointing!

Events are total money making events for Funzio. 90%, if not more, of us playing the game won't see 10 collectible items... perhaps even if we did buy some gold to have 100% chance to open and to reset the timers. Odds are against us. Funzio intended and designed it to be that way. I come from playing MMOs online, so clearly such events should have these characteristics. I don't know how I'd feel if a person who didn't pay for a game, got all the same rewards as I did and was given access to everything I had. I guess the one thing I wish Funzio would do is disclose that you won
t get 10 unless you pay or are EXTREMELY lucky (as I read some people got 10 without buying). Just so people aren't spending extra hours of the day to open a box 20 times in a day. (Again, as I read people do. I open maybe 10 a day.)

I'm glad I checked out this forum though, before I was a little more hot headed about the drop rate. Now seeing everyone else who doesn't buy gold is in the same boat as me, and those who are buying gold are getting all 10. Ahhhhhh... Clarity and closure. :)

Have been on the road for work but wanted to give my final situation.

Horrible event. I had 7 with over 3 days left and trying and trying could only manage one more and then ended up with a number of grunts.

Truly was a terrible event, I am not sure if the odds were changed, but seriously almost deleted the game it was so frustrating.

Yeah, I was upset with them as I got a pile of them during the last event. I read what WarPriest said and got to thinking they were so bad in the long run, however, in the short term they cost me $1.5 million. They pushed me into a different tax bracket so to speak. Prior to receiving them I could have extra cash sitting around and it was pretty safe, nobody had taken any from me for a long time. In fact, when people saw the cash and attacked I usually picked up some extra money.

But the new grunts took me into unfamiliar waters and KABOOM lol.

I would like to see any grunts we win in events moved first to the request folder and from there we can add them as we see fit.
