I'm going to be eating my words.
Less than an hour after I post my rant about how I think FunZio is doing a bad job with over-priced in-game purchase items, news comes out that GREE is acquiring FunZio for $210 million.
You can google FunZio -- it's the top news for that search.
Article says crime city, modern war and kingdom age has a combined 20 million downloads, but I wonder what that translates to in terms of active users for modern age (the only one of the three i play). Article also says FunZio has over 100 employees. Assuming that modern war has several million players and that half of that is active, it's even more intriguing why they wouldn't lower the price points down to drive up the revenue stream.
Hopefully Gree will see the light and lower the prices and take this game to the next level.
