This might be a viable strategy. Reading the CC forums, stumbled across a thread on collecting M41As (or whatever they were called) and a guy built up an arsenal by limiting his attacks to three hits per session, possibly causing an algorithm to reset or something... Honestly, can't vouch for the veracity of his strategy, seemed to work for him though. Same principle applied here? I've thought about it.

Fair warning, I'm probably not explaining this well...but here goes again.

I followed a rabbit hole in the Crime City forums, a guy posted a thread stating he was able to get an increased amount of a specific loot over time by not blowing all his energy at once on a target, but by instead stopping himself at three hits on a map and moving on and coming back later. It might be comparable to if some of us decided to only hit the advanced destroyer twice and leaving the game and coming back for two more hits later and experiencing a bigger payout in the end.

Anyway, it was theorized that an algorithm that limited drops was being sidestepped by this strategy. I was thinking that perhaps by limiting the opens, or as someone else theorized-mixing free and cash options, one could get a better drop rate for vaccines by sidestepping the algorithm as was done in the past.

With you now! IMO this is the case more often than not with looting; single hits don't seem to drop as well as saving the energy for a multiple hit.

Love to hear if anyone has expereince of something similar happening with event buttons and/or timing. Not sure I'm going to experiment at this late stage in the event, though!

Yeah, it's weird, there was another event thread in the CC forums detailing a strategy kind of like what you're talking about now. If ya have some down time or are getting tired of MW, I'd recommend checking out the brethren north of us for some fun reading. Those guys are remarkably honed in their strategies.

OT now, but I've been playing around with limiting hits and trying to lower casualty loss by not taking out every worthwhile building in a raid run. It seems the more I pound a guy, the more lumps I take myself, so I split early now. It's really hard, but it feels like I'm escaping the loss of a SH every time I make it out, lol.

This is by far the hardest event got to 8 fairly quickly.... been stuck on it for going on 4 days now. on the bright side I have 30 Dragon soldiers and 15 ghost hounds. Wondering if they took out all the vaccines from the algorithms?? Man that Draughtsman looks cool tho...

Had my best start of any event, getting to 6 vaccines by early day 2. Then it took 2 days to get my 7th vaccine. Now it's been another 2 days and i do not have my 8th. Guess there's no hope for me now. Not even a hope of getting to 9. I have yet to even make it to 9 parts in any of these events.

Currently have an obscene number of unopened kits. Strangely enough I havent the same 'luck' getting the boxes to open and/or getting the vaccines. Had no delusions of getting 10 ,at this point tho even 7 would satisfy me.

Just wasting my 87k an hour just to pass the time :P It's obvious only a small majority of free players gets 10. But no problem, that's the downside of playing for free. Can't hope to compare with gold players.

I've been able to increase my vault to the max, expand land, and upgrade plenty of expensive buildings, as well as increased my income per hour. Plus, I got the 10th unit so my upgrades will be cheaper. Best even for me so far..

Yeah, I thought of doing that. Numerous problems with that for me though. I use my iPad for my business, so not being able to close the app for a few days is a no-go. That and while the app seems to mostly crash after doing predictable actions for me, every so often it just takes a dump for no apparent reason. I really don't want to stock up and then experience that. I might throw the ipad if that happened and I don't have money for a new one at this point. :D

This is wind-down for me. Time to get in accord with the way things are. I have three left and roughly 12 attempts, maybe 3 or 4 more depending how late I can keep the app open tomorrow morning. If these don't do it, then I failed. I'll feel bummed for a bit, then life will go on. It always does.

Best of luck to you. If you don't get it by the official end, I'd love to read you did after the clock ran down. That would be great to hear.

Nope no calls etc - you can only have MW open! A bit restrictive but I will keep it going as long as possible and if I have to take a call - well at least I can have a break from events and stop stressing!

To be honest though, this is probably going to be the last event in MW that I participate in as I haven't reached 10 in any of them and what with cash opening over a hundred attempts in all of them I'm getting pretty tired of the poor odds.

You're good to go, as long as you don't close the game. Let me say guys/ gals; this prize is freakin' awesome, especially together with the 25% upgrade reduction bonus. I can see getting to 7 figures per hour before long!!
It's worth the effort/ gold in my opinion, with in reason of course.

It was three events back and was for a 20% time reduction. this prize of 30% cost reduction is more valuable IMO. The 20% time is very nice for us impatient people, but the 30% cost reduction makes high $$ upgrades attainable with unvaulted cash.

When the event started, the first two med kits I opened were both vaccines. I quickly got to five. Five to seven was more difficult. It took me 16 kits to get the eighth one. I have now opened over twenty kits and cannot get to ten. This is so totally rigged. I thought I had found an honest, entertaining game. King dollar wins again I'm done. Will not play again.

In the CC forums, a guy got the last prize 36 full hoirs after the event ended. Perhaps it's that there are no further drops of the containers carrying the items?

BTW, I've gotten loot in the last and the one prior to the last event. Not what I wanted, still loot though, lol.

Started this thread, so I'm officially going to sign myself off...NASTY little event! And I chose that word carefully. If the event was a person it would be a nasty, spiteful, selfish creature. That's all I'm going to say event wise.Stuck to spending game cash and ended up with 8; would've been happy with 9.Had saved just over 50 tap joy gold by event end, and was sorely tempted to do a couple of resets and one gold open. I didn't, and moments after the event ended, I bought a single crate instead and scored the Mustang Fighter! As a result, I shut my game down (no intention of trying to open 29 kits in overtime) and went to dinner with my family with a smile on my face!Lessons learnt? Definitely happy NOT to spend gold on events, and will aim for a couple of tap joy crates each week - something which does seem to rely on real luck!The event took me from level 96 to 98, and here I'll stay for a while. The next event is going to wash over me like a cold caress. Has my game plan been affected? Not really! Not going to be able to afford monster upgrades for quite some time, but my little Mustang finally took my stats to att. 39K def. 50K..... Oh, and my cement factory will soon be level 7.Overall, I'm a happy camper - and that's exactly where you'll find me over the next few weeks.Bring on the next gold sale! I had my game open from last night through 9 am this morning hoping to get #10, but my boss called and kicked me off my game and caused the event to close on me. I was so close I could smell it!

lol. Same thing happened to me on my iPhone. Got a text that wiped out the event - was trying to get 7 for my LLP. Lucky for me my iPad won't have the same issue dealing with annoying phone calls and texts :)

guess i'll never know if it was in there. feel totally ripped off and pissed at funzio for making these events nearly impossible. feel like its 100% luck and the people who win the event have a giant unfair advantage moving forward in the game. really tempted to quit right now

I finished with 8, had two left over this morning and managed to get them open before needing the ipad for work. No dice, but got enough valor to pick up another stealth frigate, which is nice. Really love the units for 5 and 7, will be helpful for many levels to come no doubt. Disappointed I didnt get the top prize or even 9, but I'm ending this event with my attack score having been bumped over 400 points and my defense being bumped slightly.

I'm camping for weeks now. I love the events, but I need to build and upgrade a lot given all the new buildings I've unlocked. Will participate in another event after my attack score gets high enough to hit 98 percent of the people on my rivals list. Currently can only hit about 90 percent. That's unacceptable. :D

BTW, according to Funzio any boxes opened after the event timer on the Server do not produce any loot, that's for the cash option, don't know about gold.

I've already gotten Valor and some tank this morning on my I-pad. I will continue to open until Wed or Thurs :)

That's it. I'm all out of boxes. Finished this event with 9 again. Finally I can close the app and check out the forum again :) I was stuck with 7 for over 2 days then was stuck again with 8 for at least another 2 days, but I did manage to get the 9th during the "injury time". Total opened boxes are 75 and I believe I had about that same number of sorries too. I didn't use a single gold - that means I have made about 150 attempts in 7 days. I believe that's about the maximum effort any human being could have made without using any gold in this event. The rest is luck, which I seriously had a shortage of.

Whatever you do don't jinx it! I had the same plan - 25 boxes left not planning on answering my phone and then what happens - the phone rings and the bloody dog manages to answer it with its nose! Good bye unopened crates and any chance of getting 10 vaccines!

Hmm i still have it open, and ive gotten nothing but sorries since the event has been over. i hope i get at least one open at some point....? i started OT with 30 boxes, still have 30 boxes.
