I got 4 vaccines my first day, even within the first few hours, and none today so far. However, I'm not worried yet. It's only the second day. You just have to keep playing, which probably means leveling up if you're trying to camp. I'm getting a decent amount from PVP, but I'm also losing valuable units in the attacks, which is frustrating. You're better off with PVE. Less damage to your army..

2 more medkits today so far. 2 sorry and 1 command tank(first loot item I've gotten in an event box that I can bring to battle, so I'm pleased). Drop rate seems slower for me today, but I'm glad just to have kits to open.

So I'm at 4 vaccines, a decent loot unit, and I've only leveled once(was already really close to leveling at the start, 30 xp away). This is the best start I've had yet in an event. Trying not to be too hopeful for 10 though. If I can get 7, I'll be content. 9 and I'll be happy. 10 and I'll be stoked.

I noticed the event started yesterday at 2pm EST since then I have set my alarm to go off every hour. I have made 19 attempts to open the med kits since yesterday at this time. I didn't open any between my last attempt at midnight last night and 5am this morning when my dog woke me up to go to the bathroom. In the past 24 hours, in 19 attempts, I have two damn vaccines, 1 stupid grunt and 1 weak ass loot item... And the rest SORRY!

How the hell is that possible??? How are the odds that bad and how are my open rates that much worse than others. I'm using cash to open every time. Medium chance my a$$. What the hell is going on and what am I supposed to do. I don't want to go all "flan" over here but 5 events in a row with the same results. It's absolute BS!

You have to do missions. I am getting boxes in PVP, but not as many, and there are always consequences to attacking rivals, mainly in the form of losing units you shouldn't. I just got two boxes on a PVE, and I didn't have to lose any units.

I also just opened another box, and got a vaccine, which makes 5 for me, plus the Dispatch Aircraft, which is pretty nice with and A/D of 21/45.

Only 5 more to go!!

Also, probably attacked 30 people before getting a box, and of course then I got three in a row. Definitely have to do missions to get boxes for this event. You may be missing a key factor here: what they are opening the boxes with. I believe that higher success rates are tied to bare hands vs. cash vs. gold. Not that you can't win units using the lesser two options, but I believe in the end gold has a higher success rate overall.. Using cash works, but you need a lot of boxes, and a lot of cash depending on what level you are on.

Do you normally select your rivals or do you just attack just about anyone?
I look for US flag since it doesn't have any boost. I also assume US flag are typically people from the North American timezone so they will be actively playing when I'm out to hunt for boxes. I then look for the hourly collection to make sure those are not available for collection with the assumption people who collect their hourly and open the box at the same time. I normally raid their shipyard for valor unless their are high values target that's available.

I just attach 2 players' shipyard and got two boxes. I normally do PVE but for this event, I'm having problem with PVE so it's all PVP going forward. I only received one box from PVE for this event.

I've asked this question before, but can't find or remember the answer-but anyone know how many opens from start to finish that it took them to get 10 items? I'm talking opens, be them grunts, cash, valor, or item reward-an open regardless. Finally opened number 5 and received the 2nd best defensive unit I have in my inventory going by raw stats(Summit Aircraft, 16A 29D). Totally thrilled. In a way, all the sorries earlier made this sweeter. Have 3 kits left to open too. And have only leveled twice now since the start. Despite all the sorries today, this is still shaping up to be the best event for me yet.

The incremental units are so much better now that I'm above level 21. And they probably look totally weak to the high level players. :D

I've opened 26 med kits and I only have 3 vaccines. What's even more frustrating is that I have 14 med kits. I'd say that about 75%-80% of my opens have been "sorrys." By far my least successful event so far.
To the people who have 7-9 vaccines.....

1) What have you been using to open? Gold or cash?
2) Have you reset the timer?

I don't care what Funzio's algorithm is, but there is no way there I can go 3/26 and someone else can go 6-8, 7-10 what have you.

I've had about a 50 50 open rate today and I'm averaging 3-5 boxes all day just from the naval battle.
I have yet needed to pvp for a box this event yet. Drops have been really good from that destroyer this event.

With 4 days and 17 hours left and you have 5 after only 2 days, you're in a better position than many to get it. however, the chances of anyone getting it, even people sitting on 9 right now, are very small if they're the same odds as the previous events.

I really really really want this prize, more than most of the previous prizes, and I'm putting more effort into getting it than I have in any previous event, but I have to keep reminding myself that chance plays a part in this for everyone, and I have no guarantees and a very small chance of actually getting it so I shouldn't expect anything.

I'm on 6. Finally started to find med kits. I must say this forum has improved my game play. I found kits in oil refinery commando capt. i hit him three times and got two kits but at 178 energy a pop. In communication outpost The nervous guard gave me one as well. In Docks: amph. sqd. ldr and the dry dock missile sub is good too.
Gonna try hitting the shipyard in PVP when i get low on med kits cuz my stamina is high, it never runs out.

Just got #6, shortly after sacrificing a puppy to Ba'al. So for now, I'm going to stick with the puppies for Ba'al strategy and see how it goes.

@David - The first day I was all cash and had a greater than 50 percent open rate for vaccines. It was like 80 percent, and I reached 4. But the open rate for me has dropped drastically since then. And remember, time is more valuable money, and we're all spending time on this game. You can replace money, but you can't replace time. :D

I have a 50% open rate with 7 vaccines. Here's the breakdown if you are interested

2 allies (lol, I will have an all grunts ally list pretty soon)

Got 6 vaccines on day 1 and 0 on day 2. I'm hoping to get to #8 today as the day is still young, Pacific timezone with an expectation to get to #9 by 80th open and maybe if I'm lucky enough get to #10 by around 100th open. Yes, there will be a long dry spell especially between #8, 9 and 10. Be patience and hope for the best.

When I do missions and attacks, I get a lot of boxes, and then I just open them hourly. I don't speed up the timer unless it's getting down to the wire and there is a chance I won't get through them all before the event ends (which I did the last time).

Since there are still 4 1/2 days left, I'm not stressing reaching 10 vaccines right now. But if two days go by and I don't get any, then I will start stepping it up. I got the 10th unit in the last event with only 58 minutes left.:eek:

Thanks for the advice. I actually wasn't trying to wait until the final day/hours to get the 10th unit, but I was so busy last weekend that I just didn't have time to check every hour, and I ended up with about 12 boxes and 2 hours left, so I had no choice but to reset.

I would like to try and open as many as possible without resetting this time. I don't have as much going on this weekend as I did last, but I also only have wi-fi in my apartment, so unless I'm at work or a hot spot, I will have to wait until I'm home..

The last event I was stuck on 8 for 3 1/2 days, almost 60 attempts. I had 9 boxes unopened when the event finished. I am so (yawn) excited about this event. From these posts, the winnings are even fewer and far between than the last one. The guy in the next cubicle got to 6 in 14 attempts, he's been trying to get number 7 for 15 attempts. Sounds like Funzio is getting selfish with their virtual prizes. Meanwhile, I am camping.

I may have missed a few pages...did anyone notice that they extended the time? Now scheduled for 4d 8h+ (end Monday midnight Pacific), which is an extra day from where it was when it started. Considering that, feel like I still have a decent shot to get up to 9, and maybe 10. Might try a few gold opens if I'm close, wish I bought a little more on sale!

Oh, and I have 24 boxes on hand currently. :p Maybe I should put some up on ebay. I'd really rather not have so many but I am near the top of my category and PvP is very successful, hate to slow that down just to avoid the extra boxes. Plus I need to get up to lvl 50 anyway. Funzio is very business oriented, we are all frustraded with the opening rates and yet are 'hooked' on the damm event because WE ALL WANT/NEED this bonus, which most likely means by Friday night or Saturday morning/afternoon, Funzio will start another gold sale

To all you people who buy gold (and I believe its fair to say that half the people on the boards spend over $50 per event) congrats on making Funzio rich while completely ripping you off. Anyone ever thought of taking those hundreds of dollars you spend and instead investing them? Or buying a 360 game that you can actually play and control? Most of the people on here could probably buy a PS3 or 360 and about 5 games to boot for the amount of money you've handed over to Funzio. i got to 6 at the start of day 2, my best event start of them all. Then i haven't gotten a vaccine for almost 2 days now. I failed my last 6 open attempts as well.

thats pretty ****ty too, the two times where i got to 10 was when i didn't start like a lion. When i start big (6 on first 2 days) i get stuck at 9 or 8

I've gotten to 9 three out of four but got 10 two events back. Opened average of 65 boxes/crates/med kits to get that far and never held onto more than 20 or so at any one time. Used nothing but cash for the first two events and used about 150 on the third for 10, so far used about 150 gold and I'm at 7 vaccines and sitting on 15 med kits now since I just picked up 6 in PVP and used 27 stamina, used up 1200 energy and got 2 pve in mountain pass. They seem hard to find this event. Have my fingers crossed just to get to 9 this time!
