Gatling turrets

Do all of you have 50 Gatling turrets or plan to have 50?

I sold all my low level buildings, including the few defensive buildings a while ago. Just didn't seem worth it to keep them. Now I was thinking about building 50 Gatling turrets because they would take up relatively little space. But then I started thinking what's the point? 50 turrets would increase my defense by 1400 points. That's not going to stop many people from robbing or attacking me. Plus it would take over 16 days to build them all and cost close to $3 million. Just seems like a waste of time, money and hood space too.

Any thoughts?

Well the cost should be irrelevant...try increasing your defense by 1400 for $3m another way and get back to us :) Besides stun grenades but those arent permanent.

Theres no real decision to be made on this tho IMO at least. The footprint is extremely small, can even fill in gaps if you want. The 16 days to build doesnt matter since you're not always building anyways. 1400 points will stop some people, and it will just add to your total.

They are well worth it.

I have 50 and only 8 of them are visible and those 8 are intentionally visible. The rest fill in empty spots behind and between buildings

Another POV:
I have now built almost every 12hfold building. What's left to do? Build defence! ^_^
Build GGs while saving for something. They are cheap and keep you busy.

It's a fun personal goal because there is no game message or reward after your 50th completes. You just go to build #51 and there's simply no Gatling Gun option anymore. After about 3 seconds of confusion -- 2 seconds if you weren't the slow kid in class -- you crack a smile, then a cold one, and start on the next goal. :)

Oddly, despite the lack of a game message and reward, I felt more accomplishment from building 50 Gatlings than any game goals.

Yes, build the gatlings. I have 50 already and am building the missiles now. Have a few other defensive strucures to add to the variety of buildings in my hood.
