Bought 40 Pistols, No increase in Mafia Attack

pistols add +1 to attack and 0 to defense and one pistol costs $100.
I thought of raising my mafia attack and bought 40 pistols. now i have total of 77 pistols. but the mafia attack score did not increase after buying 40 pistols .. why? does it take some time for the stats to update? or is there some sort of caping to the stuff u buy?

i'm amazed, i wasted $4000 for nothing ..

Each mafiamember can bring 1 gun, 1 melee, 1 armor, 1 explosieve and one vehicle.
For each level, you can bring 5 mafiamembers (level 1: you can bring max 5 to fight, level 10: you can bring max 50 to fight).

To increase attack, your weapon have to be stronger than the weakest you are using at the moment.

the weakest may be some melee or that pistol. i also bought a shotgun just to check. it costs $600 and shud increase attack by 2 and defense by 1

the shotgun is stronger than my weakest weapon (pistol or broken bottle). so why it didn't increase the attack score??

You might need 40 pistols to unlock a pve mission, then it's not a waste at all.

how many mafias you have? are your weapons more than your mafia?

I have 15 henchmen and 5 mafia members .. the total is 20 :D
number of weapons is 358
number of armors is 102
number of vehicles is 14
mafia attack 383
mafia defense 614

and i'm level 27 .. guess i leveled up too fast and now getting beaten up by everyone :(

i want to increase the attack score. so i'm buying weapons. but now i figure out that u have to buy x,y,z weapon and not a,b,c weapon. i'm getting sick of this game now lol.

Pretty simple...if you have 100 mafia, you bring 100 guns, 100 melee ,100 armor, 100 vehicles...if you have 100 guns already that the new one you purchase replaces your weakest gun...same for melee, armor, vehicles

But they can bring different weapons if they defend themselevs :)

Lol i sure wish I knew all this math was involved too cuz I did the same thing haha bought all them weapons trying to boost attack and defense when my crew was smaller but now that I'm almost 350 strong...will it help?

No need to be upset with your purchase as these pistols are needed to complete map goals/quest, so won't seem a waste.

You have to look at your own inventory to see what helps you where...there are spreadsheets laying around the forum, or create your own and see what the last item is you bring for attack and defense and then you can figure out where you can improve.

Some of the seasoned pros will be able to answer. I can only guess that the defense score of the 3 x commons you unluckily purchased was higher than your previous used item and so replaced it, however the attack score of these new items was lower?
