I've read a few posts and the splendid beginner's guide. I got some ideas but was not sure.

Here is the example:

If I have 5x Sorcerer (A3D1), 5x Cleric (A0D3) and 5x Foot Soldier (A1D1). And I have 10 units to go battle only.

When I attack another player, I use only 5x Sorcerer and 5x Foot Soldier. My attack is 3x5 + 1x5 = 20. And the 5x Cleric do not go battle at all.
When I am attacked, I use only 5x Cleric and 5x Sorcerer. (Sorcerer and Foot Soldier are both D1, and the game picks the Sorcerer with higher A. ) My defense is 3x5 +1x5 =20. And the 5x Foot Soldier do not go battle at all.

Is that right?

That is correct.

Are you sure you are using only 10? because the unit count are increments of 3 and I don't see a possibility of only using 10. This sparks some curiosity.

Easy ghost :) He is just giving a statistical example trying to get a feedback on his calculation.

Suggest: get illusionist and battering ram combo in early game. 260 gold for 8/9 stats, can't be more happy about that.

Then in that case, he is right and so are you, that is a good combo.

Thanks Ghost.
And yes Shawn, that's exactly what was in my mind when I post this. However I am not quite in early game now :P
