I've been doing mostly PvE since starting KA. My forays into attacking rivals, even when victorious, have let to unit losses that far outweigh the gold and honor I receive. This seems to be the case even when I attack players that have significantly weaker stats than do. I'd love to do more battling (seems like that's the point of the game) but literally can't afford to.

Was hoping some of the veterans could give me some tips on how to manage this and avoid losing expensive units.

Thanks!

Well i've noticed that if you have a good economy then the losses don't seem so bad but as far as minimalizing casualties the water temple of healing helps. I'm trying to convert my defensive units to all illusionists so that they're pretty much the only unit I lose when defending.

Use cheap attacking units.

Yes, attack players with lots of coins.
You will get 10% of his cash if you win!

PS: cash = coins - vault
You read that your rival has 2800 coins from his profile, while he has put 800 coins in his vault. You will get (2800-800)*10% =200 coins after the attack, if you win.
