Yeah man, I hit 7 in the first day, nothing so far today but like 600 R points, which is still a handsome reward. Usually I get an extra mafia member or something useless. At least the R points I can use towards the end game strategy.

I got lucky with getting ATMs early. Some dude robbed me and lost and I won an ATM. So I attacked him out of spite like 10 times and got 4 more ATMs out of him at like 8 am yesterday. So I was opening all day without ever having to wait for one. I consider that a win, and I appologize to the guy I crushed and stole them from.

I just got 9. All medium chance. Opening every day about every hour until sleep time (with the exception that if I happen to wake up, Im opening an ATM). The downside--last event my brain woke me up every hour from 2:30AM on. Darn "Crime City Clock" in my head! Happened again last night. I had 9 at this point last event, and got my 10th on the last day. After not getting 9 or 10 on any of the previous events, I was shocked. But I guess at this point I have to be a believer. I got 10 continues failures with only 1 ATM and 1 Credit Card in hand, so I don't believe this.

People feel this because we got hundreds of boxes since day 3 and almost got 7-9, most of us do not keep a detailed log and the feeling is like: dam, no credit cards for two days because I'm having too many ATMs

I believe that what people are saying about having a low amount of ATMs will result in better odds of getting a credit card... I can say that I was stuck on the 7th card until somebody robbed me like crazy an stole all my ATMs. Went and got one ATM from a mission ( fight bugsy at hillcrest, good odds in drop I find) and used medium option to open and recieved 8 card, one hour later, same thing, fight
Bugsy, get one ATM and open using medium chance, landed me my 9 card... So this is why from now on I always only carry 1 ATM at a time... Boy that big yellow truck is nice haha! Anybody else share a similar opinion?

But how many CCs do you already have? It's a fact that the odds of finding the next CC decrease as you find one. Getting to 7 seems quite easy for most - if you haven't then you have been quite unlucky IMO. By the time you are at 8, well you need an awful lot of luck to get 9 and then 10.

I share your pain...the last event I went through the same, decided from the off to use gold to open boxes after getting frustrated with the event before that. Last time out I finally got the 10th pendant at the 39th attempt so don't give up! The event before that I got the 9th and 10th back to back after blitz opening a truck load of boxes with reset timer. I posted my results from the last event here:

I'm using cash only option this time out as I'm not bothered about thew +40 attack skill points. I'm got dry runs of 8 and 5 a couple times...:( just the way it goes. The unopened ATMs are of no consequence...unless you decide to blitz open a ton using Reset Timer...my advice, don't even consider it for this event.

When all is said and done though, there are massive amounts of luck and/or gold involved. ust keep going as you are...finger crossed for ya! :)

I know people say 'don't try to see patterns and logic where there isn't any' but this event in my opinion has a much lower chance of getting cc's than the last one. I may be biased from personal experience but I've re-read the threads from the last event and this one and on the whole, albeit with some people not hitting the 10 mark, the last event had a higher sucess rate.
I'm aware there are still 2 days left but again people had more cards this far through the last event.

Wow! I thought mine was the worst. This makes me feel a little bit better for some reason. I'm actually opening (or attempting) 22 boxes/day. My last count is 61 failures in a row now.

Mate, I'm pretty sure it is not. But I have 141 myself. I had about 56 during Burner event and this one feels for some reason EXACTLY the same. I think they lowered the drop rate to like 2-5% on 10th. I've burnt through 750 gold in 2 minutes to get my 8th emerald back then. You just unlucky this time man. So do I for now.

If you got 9 the chances of you having a credit card in you hand are far greater & by looting that you may need to open another 20-30 boxes to get the tenth and it be impossible without gold to open that many in time.

IF you do, you do so knowing full well (after 4 previous events) that spending gold does not guarantee the final item. I burnt myself on the second event and have not complained since. I knew the outcome wasnt assured and am happy plodding along using in game money from now on and just got my 8th and 9th today. Im happy with these items.

yes that's what I do, just enjoy the game and event, dont get deep into it or you might just get a lot of frustration, but for the previous event, i got also until 9.
by the way, its the fourth day since I am chasing for the 9th credit card, I dont know why opening of atm gives me 90% of "better luck next time" on around 70 attempts, what a really bad luck for me
I would be happier if I got some items, especially those vehicles, I didnt get any vehicles in this event so far.

I think you are right about a few things here. If I wasn't opening with gold, I wouldn't be so uptight about my 89 failures to get a CC. As it is now, I have spent more than the prize is worth and I am unlikely to even see cc. #9... Forget about credit card10. It like a bad investment now....spent all this so far to get nothing.....

I can only imagine how you feel. I dont think it is completely random however. Truth is we have no idea what the algorithm they use looks like. I'm sure there is an element of random chance but I do believe there is more than that to it.

I've spent the last three hours trying to get an ATM and no matter what I rob or attack I have only gotten one which I was attacked by someone almost 20 levels higher less than 2 minutes after having it and lost it.

I've been stuck at 9 and spent about $60 in gold and can't get the tenth one. This is the exact same thing that happened to me on the last one. It's supposed to be you can get one of 5 prizes, but they have rigged the game like the games at a carnival you play to get stuffed animals.

We're all getting robbed in this game if we're actually spending money. Just like the defense buildings that don't do a thing for you, if you don't believe me then have some Ron and attack you and compare the the numbers, they are the same. And then add up all your defense points and you'll see that you didn't get one single point for it.

So if you spent money of bodyguard buildings or from upgrading them or anything, you got robbed.

I think the word you're looking for is "scammed" or "defrauded." "Robbed" means physical force was used to separate you from your property. If you think a fraud has taken place, I suggest you contact your local authorities and wish you the best of luck with that.

I have 8 with half a day left... not looking good. I am pretty sure these events are not random at all. I have played all the events now and EVERY time I get between 6 and 7 of the lockboxes/safes/atms within the first two days, but I don't get any or rarely get any after that. It feels like Funzio wants to try and hook us and get us invested so that we have to shell out tons of money to get the last item in the end. (The only one I shelled out for was the Emerald Burner... i probably should have for the Loaded Dice). I also have the diamond heater, but that one came a bit easier and only required a little of my cash to get.

Funzio has a history of being quiet and not informing us of things (nobody knows how attack and defense skill work still).

It is all frustrating.
