Beginner: Have high defense and getting beat by those witjh 50- attack

Greetings, out of curiosity, whats' the algorithm in this game to actually be able to have a sturdy defense and not lose to those who have less superior attacking power? Typically, in the 'other' games, this scheme would result in not losing.

If anyone could enlighten me, please do.

This game appears to be different. I suggest you recognize that and plan your strategy accordingly. Having a higher defense than your opponent's attack will not necessarily result in a win for the defender, especially when the defender is being robbed.

someone told me in most other games like this skills points are the major factor in def and atk but in this game seems as though weapons reign supreme
