Anyone figured actual number of attack & def. points earned from buying all weapons?

I know there are breakdowns of all job spreadsheets and for loot items and such. Has anybody ever started to track what you increase in attack and defense just by buying weapons, armor and the rest? Such as some have noticed buying steel garrotes will put a plus 3 in your attack #. Any hints or tips would be great! Rowlow

The number the weapon shows is how many it's adding to your attack and defense score. The reason a steel garrote might give you only 3 attack points is because your weakest mafia is carrying a melee weapon that has 7 attack points. The new garrote replaces that item. So you lose the 7 attack points of the first item, gain the 10 attack points of the garrote, and end up net gain of 3. If you had an unequipped mafia member, you would get the full 10 points.

Just make ur own spreadsheet for all 5 ofur categories and sort highest to lowest and add up the best 500

I did a spreadsheet and added all up 5 equipment types. I found that after assigning the 700 highest value items to my
700 mafia my defense was lower than posted by ~3000. This is expected because of defense buildings added 3000.

BUT, my actual posted attack points were ~2000 lower than what was calculated on the ss.
Why?
Is it possible the algorithm uses the lowest equipment first? Which would penalize you for having surplus.
