L Fizzle: ridiculous cargo box drop rate and event scheduling

Hi, L Fizzle! I know it's very early into the cargo box event, but I've done just under 30 attacks and lost three superhornets plus assorted other units with NO cargo boxes found at all (let alone winning any prizes). In the previous event, I would have expected to find at least three briefcases by now. Are the odds for cargo box drops now a lot higher? At this reward:superhornet loss ratio, I'm thinking this event is not worth it.

The other silly thing is starting the event early on Tuesday morning (UK time). Can we not have events start early on Saturday morning and end late on Sunday evening?

Make that 30 attacks exactly and four superhornets lost, still with no cargo boxes.

Attacks don't usually bring in boxes till people get em from PVE missions. Maybe the first two events you started late when everyone already had a few and were able to pick some up that way.

You can only get cargo boxes from attacking IF your rival has cargo boxes.

If they don't have cargo boxes, you can attack them as much as you can, you still would not be able to get any. Your best chance to get cargo boxes at the beginning of the event is from doing missions with energy.

Go farm the Insurgent Leader in the 1st Mission: Insurgent Camp, I got 15 boxes there already :)

It's the cheapest on energy (15 so you get MORE chances), you don't lose any units, and you get a free meat shield out of the deal.

Over 60 attacks launched with no boxes. The last event started on a mid-Sunday morning (for me anyway), so I think there were plenty of people who had briefcases that I was able to attack and win. This time round, being a Tuesday, presumably much fewer people have been playing as yet, so I have just thrown a whole heap of valuable units (including at least seven superhornets - I've stopped counting, it's too painful) down the toilet. :mad:

I normally have hundreds unopened at the end of the events. I got started late and had already spent all my energy 10 minutes before I found out about the event. 1st hit on Adv destroyer and nothing. Nothing in 50+ attacks but I don't expect people to have the boxes yet. Had enough enery to hit the leader 13 times and got the box on the last one. Opened 1st try so I have 1 plane part. :). Now I can go sit in the car for the next few hours to work.

Does anyone know that this is for sure true? Because I believe it to be as well. On last event Insurgent Leader seem to rarely drop a box, Amphibious Squad Leader seem to drop them more often even though he took more energy and you get more XP.

Just saying :) I tried that Mcdoc, I hit him like 10 times and didn't get a single box :( Is it just different for everybody :confused:

I got a drop at the Docks, Amphib squad leader with my iPhone game. iPad game got an immediate drop at Natural Gas Facility, that ipad drop opened immediately for an airplane part. iPhone cargo box did not open. Using medium (points) on both. Seems fairly routine as before with drops occurring easily at first then fewer as time wears on. Also, boxes open readily early on then much harder. I suspect that as before I will get three of the four rewards in each of my two ongoing games. If I ever got up to 9 of the 10 required I would use gold to expedite but that has never happened. Good thing my wife is out of town, she has come close to having me committed after watching me react to timers going off to open boxes.

Well this didn't take long for ppl to start combining about something they know nothing about lol. Just do pve first couple of days. And if your deadest on pvp after that GL to you and may your inventory and vault keep up with your attacking haha. But for real I do pve first 2 days then I'll try some pvp here and there but not much it's not worth the loss's you will have to wait untill others get some boxes before you can just attack them and think they will appear. But to me pve I the way to go on these events.

What people need to realize that this game is very random as far as losses during attacks and rewards during events. For example, I went to the Insurgent Camp after reading McDoc's post and got no cargo boxes (but about 8 Desert Leaders), however I took 3 boxes in an attack, as well as 4 at High Mountain Village. There is no rhyme or reason to this game. If there was, then everyone would follow the same strategy and Funzio would be out of business eventually... The game is designed to keep you playing and (for some of us) buying gold.

Every player is going to have a somewhat different experience, and that makes the game slightly more challenging.

I got a plane part in my very first try at opening a box, but the next 10 tries could yield zilch. It's all part of the game..

Sure would. I won the grand prize at the last event, so I feel slightly confident. But I also spent thousands and thousands. This time, I'm not stressing it as much. I still don't understand what the +2 valor means...

To be honest not that bothered about the bonus would just like a unit with those stats for free.

Found boxes pretty easy hitting the mini sub and destroyer spots without getting to much exp.

Haha, yeah. As far I as I know, it's plus 2 valor points per battle. What is that going to do? 10 would be such a better number. And I am really liking the last two units. =)

The grand prize special boost is poop though it's not a bad unit itself but still would kill me to get I wanted something like a 10 percent discount on buying units not the gold ones that's a prize worth competing for

It means just that. Hard to believe but it is. 2 points isn't going to do much. Sometimes I win 1 valor in a battle so getting 2 to make 3 in total still sucks.
