By far the worst reward of them all. Im still going to play the event for the indestructible units and stuff, but that unique bonus sucks. If i attack people high level 100s i can get 1-35 valor from the battle already. +2 especially when most are not attacking isn't going to do anything for us.

I am so not excited about this event, but maybe it needs to be explained better. Is the grand prize (besides the Blue Bomber) +2 valor each time you attack someone, or when you're attacked? If its the former, then it doesn't make sense because we get valor already for attacking, and way more than 2...

The unit is cool, but I don't see any other benefits to the madness that this event is going to bring...

Found one box, opened it with cash and received the first part... stuck on 0 boxes ever since! I'm just not getting any. I'm certainly not going to spend the same amount of time and cash on this event as I did on the previous ones. For 1 I'm done with getting stuck on 9 parts and 2 the "grand price" (+2 valor) isn't worth the effort

Though, I'll give it a little bit of attention - you never know - might this be the right strategy? :p

I've already gone through about 700 stamina points and about 15 pvp attacks and have yet to see any sign of a box.

Wondering if it might be more profitable to sit the event out and just attack the 'newbies' on my rivals list that are likely to be people particpating and levelling up very quickly, with any boxes I pick up opened by hand.

Last time I spent quite a lot of gold and didn't get past 8, I had real difficulty finding any boxes, and didn't receive a single document in the tweny or so cases I used explosives on.

I´ve got so far 3 plane parts and 8 "sorrys", nothing else. All opened with Cash option.

But I´m quite tempted for the main prize again. The +2 to Valor doesn´t seem that much, but in a long run it is actually somewhat awesome. For heavy Gold players it is virtually useless, but in later levels your Valor Missions start to be either very difficult or there´s a long gap between levelling and new Valor missions and you have to replenish your Valor troops too somehow. And in lower levels where missions pop out like swamps in the rain, it is very good item. Most of you ladies and gentlemen complain that attacking isn´t profitable and I sign that claim partly (just lost two Rapid-Fire Attack Vehicles and a Stryker in one go, gaining 10 EXP and 5 Valor), but there´s no other way to claim Valor in addition specific missions except doing battle, raiding and multiple times maps and gain some for area mastery. That´s why Valor is precious.

Even though I believe there really is no rhyme or reason to this game, perhaps for this event they rigged it so that everyone wins parts early on to keep players engaged through the end. Think about it; if you come so close to the grand prize on the 2nd or 3rd day, you're less likely to give up until the event is over. On the other hand, if you keep coming up with zilch (extra allies, $ you don't really need) after opening several boxes early on (while wasting thousands and/or gold), you'll be more likely to give up and not keep trying for the brass ring.

I got a part on my very first try on the first box, on the same day the event started. Why would I quit now??

Exceptionally few people at level 12(the level I stayed at the longest so far) with my allies(then 30) had attack scores high enough to defeat your defense as it is now, and you have less allies so you'd have an even weaker pool of rivals than I did. In fact, the vast majority of the rivals I've scoped out today at 14 with 32 allies couldn't touch you. Just throwing this out so you can get a feel of the 5 or so levels immediately above you.

i've played an event on my old CC account, very frustrating lol. IMO, look at it as free stuff while continuing your game like normal. some free units, valor, $, and... allies... lol

thanks warfiend, i just want a massive economy so when I do level up. My WHOLE army will maintain the BEST units and can be easily replaced to keep a perfect streak. I just want to test it out. see how long I can last until a gold buyer finds me.. lol

Do the shipyard and mission goals give you 100% drop?

Insurgent leader dried up on me, but I picked up another one just doing the missions I'm currently supposed to do. Most of my leveling up till this event was due to attacks and raids, so now I'm catching up on the missions.

Naval Battle seems to be good so far, min of 1 in 2 hits drops a box. I think this event is shorter than the others or am I imaging this?

Also to keep folks from pilfering your boxes keep your energy high and just hit that spot when you need a box.

Best 2 spots to farm as far as pve for boxes would probably be amp squad leader at the docks lower chance but lower lvl place. and the destroyer at naval battle. Has been about 40/60 for me

Well, opened five boxes over nine attempts (using the "middle" option) and received three parts so far.

Can't tell if the odds have changed, seems like it, but eh, who knows. If I can crawl my way to the ninth part with no gold (and plenty of sleep) I'll be happy.

I'm thinking they made this event easier as far as odds for getting the parts we need because of last events odds were so messed up. That being said I believe that's why the top prize unit only gives a bonus of + 2 valor. I think it's going to be easier to get then the past 2 events prizes. In turn I guess that would satisfy some ppl that complained so much last time. Finely gettin a little closer but idk just a theory.

For example it's costing me $134,000 vs my brothers who are about half. Their success rate was pretty much half of mine so I have to wonder. But we really don't know I guess.

That would be nice, granted the odds seemed to increase as the event went on and then the dangling carrot of cheaper gold. I think that combination is what made a lot of folks angry last time. I suspect if this event goes the same way that would pretty much be it for most folks. So far I've been good and have not dipped into my Tapjoy gold. I think if the prize was a bit better, instead of +2 it was X2 then I might be a bit more excited. I guess because a lot of times when I am attacking up in the higher levels it's not uncommon to get +10 to +12 valor in one hit though I also get +1 or +2 as well.

That's interesting, I thought the first one was harder than the second. Maybe because some of us got off to a late start because the app upgrade wouldn't load properly so we wound up several hours behind the others. Also I think in the second one I had a better strategy in place. This one I'm kind of hanging back to see how it all pans out but not spending gold.

I do find myself playing Kingdom Age more, it's basically a clone of MW with a medieval twist but the mechanics including the crashing are very similar to MW and I kind of like the roasted pig on a spit in the middle of my Kingdom. One thing that Funzio does extremely well are the graphics.

Ah so they did a Canadian release ahead of everyone else again. Interesting. Right now there are no whales in the game, hope they capped gold spending but the odds of that are pretty slim.

The graphics are very nice, if you understand the basics of MW then playing KA is going to be a piece of cake. As with MW don't level up too fast though it's easy to go up fast with the quests. The layout of the menus is identical albeit with different names but as soon as you see it you will understand. Use and upgrade the vault as soon as you start playing. You get a really generous pile of coins but only 150 coin vault so upgrade it first. Upgrades are the same only 1 upgrade, build or expansion at a time.

Oh and I guess then you guys really got hosed. KA was featured on Tapjoy with an 18 gold bonus for MW.....

I'm up to 4 parts. Have gotten 8 boxes total.

Major drawback of turtling at low levels then participating in these events... My first indestructible unit has a whopping attack power of 9 and a breathtaking defense of 5. The next two will fit nicely in my attack forces, but only the grand prize is strong enough to add to my defense.

And the units you win directly from the crates are a complete joke, although I continue to be grunt free and I'd rather get joke units than a grunt. :D

If you participate in the events it is virtually impossible not to level up. Since you have to attack or do missions to get the boxes, you win XP and slowly but surely move forward. I was trying to stay put for a while, but once the event started I said screw it. I know I will probably move up at least 2 levels before the event is over...damn boxes..lol.

But many players use the strategy of growing and strengthening their bases and units before they venture into "whale" territory (high levels, where the players are bound to be strong). The goal is to have the strongest base with high defense numbers to protect you from getting attacked, and to allow you to attack more and win.

It's a great strategy, but I get bored too easily. I like doing the missions and attacking for loot, and that is the easiest way to move up quickly. You have to do nothing except collect $ from your buildings, buy more buildings and level those up. And, you need to expand your base to do this. Each expansion/purchase/upgrade can take days.

I know, I was planning on leveling. I've been ready to level since the end of the last event which I mostly sat out. But, this is just going a little faster than I'd hoped. The insurgent leader only gives out 2xp, so I've slowed down my leveling a good deal by getting the crates from him, but he seems to dry up during the day. It's not weird, it's random. The first time I attacked the insurgent leader I got nothing. Went back the next day and got two boxes. The game is so random. One person may be sucessful in one area, and the next person won't be. Just how it is, I'm guessing.

Haha me too - when this event started, I stopped turtling, and increased my attack score by 30% and jumped 1.5 levels already! I get depressed in these events when I have no boxes to open and no one to steal from!

Jumping multiple levels is bad, as I try to increase my A/D proportionately with my economy now as I level, instead of suddenly finding a level where you are a fish :)

Day 1: 20 crates = 1 x Loot, 4 x Parts, 2 x $250k, 1 x 500 valor and 12 x Better Lucks (worst run 4 together)

Day 2: 17 crates = 1 x $1.25m, 1 x $250k, 3 x 500 valor, 1 x Part and 11 x Better Lucks (worst run 7 together)

They are there. Just give it time. Try attacking weaker players if you haven't already. I got a decent amount that way. Or, go back to missions you've already completed and try there. May work for you.

Really? That sucks. They are falling out of the sky at mine...lol.

But I guess we need more units/money at my level too. Have 8 parts and counting. Also got units, and a nice chunk of change. No allies yet, so it's a good thing. I'm purging some that I currently have, and it is such a tedious process...ugh.
