should I spend gold on this event?

so im at 8/10 since I worked all day Friday and Saturday and im only at 8 so I picked a $65 dollars in gift cards.
I know I said i would never spend real money on these events but so many people seem to be getting it and it sounds like the drop rate is a lot higher besides it is by far the best bonus of all the events so far?

I know the risk and I will still get stuff even if I don't get 2 pendants but should I do it?


also for anyone who has gotten 10 how many opens did it take to get from 8-10? thanks

If it is anything like the last events, I say no. I did that once, sitting at 9/10, and opened more than 40 boxes - getting nothing. I think the last drop rate is so low that using gold really won't make the difference, especially if you're sitting at 8/10.

Only gamble what you're willing to lose. If you're willing to risk the card, lose it all and still not get the prize then go have some fun...:)

To get from 8 to 10 it took me a day and a half. However on the very first event I went from 7 to 10, 3 in a row using 3 resets and 3 gold opens. As much as i would be happy if you got the other 2 by doing it, please don't take me as an example because if it was a waste I would feel bad. Its a gamble bro, go with what your instinct tells you

Emerald event I got 9 with only ingame cash. Gambled 450 gold trying to get the last one. It was not to be.
This event I got 10 pendant using only ingame cash.
I believe like many that it is all random chance. Using gold will improve your chances or your number of tries but does not guarantee a win. Use gold if you want to gamble but be prepared for the worse.

i think the no bank item was a good one to spend gold on. the 25% faster build time is also worth to spend gold most ppl who posted that they spent gold on this event said it didn't take much so kinda a win/win unless you dont get 10 then its a lost LOL

on my second account I only need one I have been much more lucky on that one I've had only 25 opens on that one (since its ipod touch and I do alot o running) and I've done 40 on main (the account (iphone) im talking about now) and only have 8/10 so see first hand what luck can do (they were both cash options)

I myself decided that it is worth the gamble since there is currently no way of getting this item after this event is over...I just with they would put these up for the 5 day limited time to buy and make the dice 1k gold...I would spend that to get it...

however It seems the drop rate is much better this round since almost no one has gotten 10 jewels with spend gold while is seems everyone and their mother is posting they got it.

also thanks ghost but I do understand that this is completely a huge gamble and I decided to spend 300 gold, write down all the opens and if I don't get by 300 gold spent I will use it the last 350 on some gold buildings I have been eyeing an quit while im ahead (at least that is the plan for now)

This entire event thingy from the past till now is all run by luck. Only a fool like me spend over 4000 golds on reset time, 3rd blow torch options and refill energy bar to hunt 138 bank boxes just to get from 9th to 10th. All 3 options give the same thing. Hate to say this but is just luck. You can spend endless hard earn money still getting crappy stuff no matter what. Unless funzio can do something to be fair and humanity for players who buy golds.
The whole event program is scripted in such a way you need luck more then gold. My suggestions is no point spending gold ever again on event like this.

Don't do it. Buy crates or save it for gold buildings. I spent 3500 for the burner and it felt horrible when I got it. For that amount of gold I would have just been better off with over 60 crates. I got the dice this time all with the in game cash option and it felt like a bonus. Enjoy the 3, 5, 7 and now 9 items and if somehow you get 10 it is awesome.

The decent gold buildings didn't open up until 40+ levels, I don't need Goodfella, and I don't really need crates. I'm sure there were better options...but I kinda wanted to blow it and see how I felt. Crates would've been more "worth it", but I don't have to worry because it was free.

yes but it seems they learned from that event to give us better chances...because I saw only 1 or 2 posts on here from people getting it and so far its been a whole page of people saying they got it and it can't be that much luck so I think it will be worth it.

Agreed not a wise choice on a luck event, had got my 10 pendants and then used my 90 gold on 2 gold weapons just for that little stat boost.

Last event I left the game open on my Ipad for 33 hours past the finish until it finally crashed. Still didn't get the 10th. :(

I spent just over 600 gold to get mine. I got my first 2 diamond pendants using the cash option, then used gold for every opening after that. Based on past events I thought there would be no way anyone would get the loaded dice without spending gold. However, from the reports I have read, it seems like the drop rates were increased to coincide with the shortened duration.

yea if their wasn't a percentage increase then why is their like 1000% more people saying they got it without gold? when the green emerald event people spent 100s of gold and got squat

nappyface - How many total boxes did you have to open with gold to get the other 8? Did you use gold to shorten the timer and open (30 gold each time), or just open (15 gold each time)? I'm curious about the total number of boxes so I can figure out the probability getting the last one.

I just got 10/10 on my iPad account, and 9/10 on my iPhone account. I'm wondering how many boxes I might have to open to finally get 10/10 on my iPhone account...

40 plus or minus a couple. The 600+ gold I spent included 3 energy refills at the beginning of the event - the rest was used to open a box every hour (no timer resets).
