It was probably just a mistake at their end and they amended it. Either way, they would have to upgrade those that already had the item as the event goals cannot change mid event. It would have to be noted somewhere BEFORE the event started.

But with an upgrade already in progress, I shall have to wait until it finishes in 16 hr time before I can see if I ve been upgraded to 25%

Upto 8 as per previous events..not spending any gold now either...seems more are getting to 10 and in a shorter time scale...the increase to 25% last minute is very poor..there will no doubt be a gold sale today

I did not purchase any gold for this event but I will offer the Funzio gods a vault or two of gold at some point this week! (LFizz how about dropping another sale maybe 50% off?)

Honestly Santa, why do you need Gold?

From what I can see, at your age, you are very smart and have played a very good game. No money needed!

Gold is a nice addition, but unless you are prepared to spend a lot then small amounts do not go that far.

Tapjoy allows you to buyin without spending RM, only spending time to accumulate the free gold.
Gold is very addictive and once you have it you want more and more. Opening a crate and seeing a uncommon/rare item drop makes you want more.

I completely understand. It's just the "pull" of gold is so, so, soooo, tempting.

I mean look at Gentlemen's Clubs, Rock Cafe's, and Pirate Taverns. Having 2x of all three of those could change your game! But I understand what you are saying. Doesn't stop me from wanting it though. :D

Yep totally agree Santa, since I stumbled on free gold. The temptation to spend RM is now always on my mind. I bought some crates which started the addiction. The nice loot now in my inventory, so so nice. The additional stats only bring short term gains and the gold addiction drives the further temptation.

The GC is my goal now, was so tempted to spend gold on this event especially when I got got 9 DP. Held back with the thought of I have saved this gold for the GC. This will bring me much more benefit in the long term. I could have spent the gold which would have pushed back my GC investment. For me, there was no guarantee that I would have got the dice with gold.
Stick with tapjoy for the timebeing, painstaking as it is, will bring long term benefits when the time comes
