Attack power not going up.

I'm a lever 117 with an attack power of 5482 and defense of 8967. Very low, I know. I have 236 Mafia members. So I spent about $300,000 buying Combat Shotguns. They have an attack of 6 and defense of 4. My stats did not go up at all. I only have 76 guns with higher stats that the combat shotgun, so should my stats have risen at least some. I'm very frustrated.
In addition, I just bought night vision binoculars and my stats only rose 10 for both attack and defense and it says it should go up by 16. whats going on :(

Try reloading the application. Changes in stats only occur when the app fetches data from the server. :/

Your stats only go up if you replace an item with th new item. So it subtracts the old item from your account and adds the new item, its confusing... An example is: you get a pair of night vision binoculars 16/16 and it replaces and item with 6 attack. It subtracts the 6 attack from your total attack and adds 16. So you really are only getting 10 attack. 16-6=10
Or it could be the server hasn't refreshed yet

I assumed thats why my stats only went up by 10 when I got the night vision binoculars. But why when I 20 combat shotguns my stats for both attack and defense do not go up? Mt attack should have went up about 120 points. Like I said only have 76 guns more powerful than this and with 236 mafia members my stats should have went up. In addition I also have exited out and restarted the game. Is this something I should report to Funzio? :(

Seany - To get an increase of 120 attack points (20 guns * 6A), you would have to be not replacing any existing guns. For example, if besides the 76 more powerful guns you mentioned, you also have 20 revolvers (1A/1D) and these are the weapons being replaced, then you would be adding only 120 - 20 = 100 points. You'll need to figure out what the attack and defense scores are for the items that will be replaced to figure how much the new equipment will add. No, people have asked for it, but you can't sell any equipment.

That is worth a try. Funzio support is very good, and if you explain your situation they may be able to help you out.

Back to your OP though, you may want to decrease your mafia size further since you don't have many good weapons. Figure out the equipment areas you need to work on most (like guns or melee...), and try to build up those stats. There are other threads with good suggestions for improving stats if you do some searching.

Thanks for you help. I'm pretty bummed. I still don't understand why my attack wouldn't go up a little since the combat shotgun has more attack than my other guns, but oh well. The spread sheets don't work either cause I'm on a Mac :( I didn't contact Funzio so I will keep you posted on what they say. Does anyone know the threads that help people get up there attack points off the top of their head?

I don't know if dropping anymore is a good idea. I was at 450 mafia and I dropped to the 230's. I don't know how to raise my attack or defense without using gold.

Respect point items are great to raise your stats, many will only rob laundromats (I think level 7 or higher) for the high respect point to XP pay out. Chain whips are great to raise your stats
