Given that you have limited gold, I would go with a limited item, or something that you already know what the stats are. The crates are good, but if you're just doing this once with your limited gold (ie: not saving up) then I would recommend the sure thing rather than the gamble.

it would be silly to get a limited item or something that you already know what the stats are going to be as with a crate even if you get the lowest stat crate item it would still be similar to the limited item, but with the added bonus of having a chance to get a higher stat item. i dont see the logic in getting an item that you already know the stats, when a crate will have an item similar and if not much better.

Don't spend it on bank boxes....... Crate would be a better personal investment. Or if you really want to save it for last day of event. But crates are win/win better situations.
