I didn't spend any gold on the last one, but had 9 with 2 1/12 days to go. lost a lot of sleep, did the cash option only...nothin. If I would have pulled out the CC I'm sure I wouldn't have gotten the pathfinder, sig whatchamacallit. I have friends that have dumped boatloads into these events to walk away empty handed. If anyone starts a boycott on them, I'm on board.

Guys u don't understand. Funzio is a private company and its investors want to go public some day to get the big bucks. There will be many events and gold sales until then..... They have to boost their earnings .. It's just about making money and to get their stock options above water. It's not just a game but a lot of money is involved. I completely agree with this. Funzio is doing everything it can to make this game more monotonous, less exciting and less fun. They also keep forcing me to delay using real money. Each time I decide I am finally going to buy gold, they do something demoralizing like punishing players for fairly exploiting weaknesses in the game, inconsistently banning forum readers for trivial reasons, and devaluing PvE by substantially altering loot items for those who haven't had a chance to beef up like veterans.

If you want my advice, try doing an event with all free options. Unless the reward is super awesome (see Diamond Sig and Emerald Burner), it makes life a lot easier to do free opens. In the CB event I wasn't really interested in the reward bonus so I did all free options. I actually got 5 contraband! Jus an idea to take some pressure off your event experience...

I plan to make a serious effort to do this without gold. I believe it can be done, and I have seen others do it. I personally LOVE these events because they dish out some pretty strong weapons that are very achievable without using gold, but I have gotten to 9 of 10 in the last two events and haven't been able to seal the deal. I am going to focus much harder on the early days and work harder at night. I had very little luck during the afternoon hours of the last 2 events and pulled lots of good loot/RP/Cash when I would open boxes/bags at night.

One thing is certain, if I can't accomplish this with no gold, I will rest easy knowing that I just can't do it. But I believe with enough hard work and dedication, it is achievable. Bring it on, Funzio. :)

Well, the fun part for me is the little jitters I get right before my timer hits 0 and I get to open a box. I am happy with all things; Loot, cash, diamonds, RPs, and what not. Maybe, just maybe I spend a little bit of cash to throw funzio a bone for providing me with good entertainment, but I am never going to be that guy who buys 2 vaults of gold just for some insignificant 1s and 0s that look like weapons. I guess my theory is at the end of the day is 1: Did you have fun? and 2: Is your avatar stronger because of the event? If you can answer yes, than spend gold or not spend gold, the event was a success.

First off, you have to be at least level 10 to be able to participate in the event. If you do meet this criteria, you obtain bank boxes by using energy to complete jobs, successfully robbing players (who hold bank boxes), or successfully attacking players (who hold bank boxes).

The chances of you obtaining a bank box by completing jobs is dependent on the enrgy used to complete a job. The higher the energy consumption, the higher the chance of a bank box dropping.

As for obtaining bank boxes from players, you can only obtain them when the attacked player has bank boxes with them as you are essentially stealing their bank boxes.

You can only open one bank box per hour, and you have a choice of 3 ways to open these boxes:
Free (low chance of opening), Game Cash (medium chance of opening), and Gold (100% chance of opening). You can also choose to spend gold to reset your hourly timer to open more boxes within the hour.

If you fail to open a bank box, the unopened bank box stays in your inventory for you to open it at a later time. If you successfully open a bank box, the opened bank box vanishes.

You obtain unique items when you obtain 3, 5, 7, 9 and 10 Diamond Pendants respectively.

My experience
I just hit jobs to get boxes. I repeatedly hit the muscle car in the junkyard. It takes I think 64 energy with each hit and I get two to three boxes per 750 energy and also get to grab the occasional low rider which helps my stats..

Once I had about 10 boxes I went to Player Attacks and hit only those who had been collecting from their buildings betting they were active players and collecting boxes so now I can work on thug life goals and collect boxes. I have some ridiculous number of them now...

Thats the only way I can guess a player has a box.... You could also check their inventory and if one of the loot items is there by today they are obviously active.

You have 24 hours, just make sure you check in and open a box every hour on the clock to maximize the time left. I feel like as the event progresses the game gets flooded with junk boxes so chances go down. I didn't use RM just game cash. I did spend minimal cash in precious events with no luck.

Pffff always the same thing and it rlly gets boring!Farming M4a1s was much more enjoyable.Let M4A1 farming again and call it an event.Believe me people will like it more instead of farming silly boxes.

Sorry but you cant farm them anymore.Funzio removed them from the game.They keep the old ones in game but İf you dont have it you cant have it now.At least until Funzio realized how they spoiled the game and bring them back.
