Since upgrading, my news feed only shows a maximum of nine posts at any time.

Is this the same for you as well?

My iPad shows 42 & my iPod shows 40.

Mmmm that doesnt sound right then does it.

If I remove app and reinstall, will I lose any data?
Did this with another app, not realising all data was stored on iPad, not server side

I did that before w/ CC more than once and nothing was lost so you should be ok.
