My own experience with this: I buy (with $ not gold) an opening attempt pretty much every hour. I'd get 12-15 a day. I'd say 30-40% at best succeed.

With just over 4 days to go I surprisingly got to 9 contraband. I've been trying ever since to get the 10th with no luck. Given it's almost over we're talking ~60 attempts with probably 25 successes.

This reward isn't terribly exciting either (20% on jobs? really?). The previous ones were better. My experience with those:

- The pistol: got 7 within 3 days, never saw another (gem?);

- The no bank fee thing: got 6 on day 1, 7th on day 3, 8th right at the very end of the last day.

I know I'd never spend gold on these. Too indeterminate. Give you probably have to open 50+ to get the 10th and you'll probably need to pay to reset the timer too that's potentially 50 opens x 30 gold = 1500. That's hard to justify. Then again, you can get some nice things along the way so maybe it is. Not for me though.

I've done all of the events thus far on both games, and in all of them I've gotten to 7-8 packages in the first 3 days, and then sat at that number through the end of the event. I'm beginning to think the drop rate is lowered based on how many packages you already have.

I know, I know... borderline conspiracy theory. Just seems too coincidental.

IMO:
I notice from all events, as the hours counting down, the chances of getting diamonds, emeralds and contraband also went down. And it went down further if you have higher diamonds, emeralds or contrabands.

I collected my diamond Sig 2 Days before the 1st event ended.
I stucked at 8 emeralds on the 2nd event(I started 1.5days after the event announced, or else i shld have went up to 9th or hopefully 10th) before the end of event.
I collected my pathmaker 4 days before the 3rd event ended.

I am not on an Indian reservation. Don't feel I should be gambling at all, in the slightest to enjoy a game.
