I think the odds on these events are too low and almost FORCE you to buy gold and I don't like that, luckily I was on spring break and was extremely attentive during the day to this event as well as setting alarms every hour and a half during most nights to wake up and open a briefcase and after all that I'm still only at 9 documents. If I don't get 10 I will not bother to participate in any more of these events because they are so nearly impossible to achieve the goal without gold.

I am very happy because it gives us a change to get some cool items
my only concern is that it has become almost impossible to get the 10 documents
there are about 168 changes to get all 10 documents (non cash players)
I have been a die hard fan since I started playing back in Dec 2011 and I am online 24/7
As of today at noon I have tried 120 times out of the 132 possible (yes I have woken in the middle of the night and try opening briefcases)
I have not been able to get any documents for the past 48 hours, what is wrong with that?
I have collected thus far
8 documents
6 x $1.25 million
5 x $250k
8 Space Drones
14 infantry units
6 x 500 valor points

Honest feedback? Well I have levelled up almost ten levels. I have purchased gold, and am currently pretty unhappy about the prizes I am getting for the gold.

Really getting valor, allies, and small amounts of money are almost as bad as not being able to open the case. If we actually manage to open the case at least give us some prizes that aren't awful.

I don't mind the chance/lottery aspect of the cases but some of the prizes really suck.

I am SOO glad I found this thread. It's nice to see other people are fighting to get over 7 brief cases (I had 7 at day two and just got my 8th today). I have used 600+ gold and am very angry at this event. Its the first event I have really went full bore on and can't forsee doing this again, its too frustrating.
I was wondering if the Silent Drifter chopper goes on sale.... maybe sunday morning.... for 800 gold, will the building upgrade come with it? I have yet to buy anything of value and was wondering if you got special attibutes for spending that much money?

Here's a radical idea for the next event, Funzio. Why not suspend all XP points for the duration of the event? This would take away the concern for leveling up that many of us have and would garner you even more converts to gold, I believe. I know I would have participated in the event AND bought gold if I could've done PvP and PvE for a week without any concern for jumping up five levels..... Would be such a messy, exciting week!

Edit: if you use this idea, how about flinging me one of those birds?

Not sure what level you are but many people wrote about consistant drop points in missions. The amphibious squad leader at the docks, also I got two off destroy missle sub at the docks. One of the tanks in the bone yard near the bottom. And the sub in the top left hand corner for emir. Also check on pvp to see if they have some of the lower indestructable units. If they don't have a raid trooper then they probably aren't playing for briefcases and don't have any to steal.

Lowering chances of getting a document near the end of the event means more people will be willing to spend money to get the item. No matter what the creators say, the amount of people who are stuck 1-3 bars away and cannot get them with up to 3-4 days left.... shows that the chances are in fact rigged.

They like collecting money from addicted fools, which is why I am glad to say I have wasted 0 dollars on this game. I would be more than happy to pay them for their product, but not when they introduce rigged events.

I got tired of wasting 43k and getting a "sorry" so I used some tapjoy gold on this one. I was planning on using it Just before midnight but couldn't wait. Meanwhile I leveled up another 1.5 for a total of almost 5 levels.

I got tired of wasting 43k and getting a "sorry" so I used some tapjoy gold on this one. I was planning on using it
Just before midnight but couldn't wait. Meanwhile I leveled up another 1.5 for a total of almost 5 levels.
Now to test it out ;-)

I used a total of 150 gold, alternating between the knife and gold since late yesterday afternoon. After the last event I decided to buy some when the sale came up. I had a bit on hand from Tapjoy before that too.

I am not weeping, simply stating that companies who introduce events that can most likely only be completed by purchasing gold, lower the entertainment of the game for all. Although I do cackle at the fact that I have spent 0$ on this game while others have spent hundreds.

I do hope by spending a single afternoon of writing on these forums, that I motivate many to realize how dumb it is to spend money on a "chance" of an event. Spending money on an actual in game item, while silly, is more understandable. (I am guilty of buying a D2 item in my younger years. Luckily, I realized what a waste it was and never did it again).

Also, has anyone else noticed how the amount of gold-purchasable items are exceeding the in-game currency purchasable items?

I was not moved to write on these forums by frustration, more in that I enjoy the game immensely. I believe it was well conceived and implemented by Funzio. I write on these forums because it seems that the "need for greed" has surpassed the simple enjoyment of distributing a fair product to a large fan base. I am sure there are those out there who agree with my sentiments.

Nah, fools about sums it up. Paying real money (a fair amount at that, gold is ridiculously priced) for an incredible small chance of getting an item for a game you will most likely not be playing a year from now, is incredibly short sighted and... stupid. I'll stick with the fools comment. Hopefully those who are insulted will wake up and realize spending their cash on pixelated pipe dreams is not the best way to go about spending their funds.

It would be extremely foolish for me to spend the money, I'm struggling to pay bills while dealing with health problems. That's why I haven't spent anything. But if I was well off and could afford it, it wouldn't be foolish to spend money on something I found entertaining, anymore than it's foolish to spend money on any other forms of entertainment.

I don't think it's rigged. Sure looks that way though but.... looking through these posts lots of people went two or three days without getting a document, myself included.
if you look at this as a lottery event, not everyone gets the big prize.
I did NOT use any gold the past 6 days and got a TON of stuff.
I've been using gold the last 12 hours and have not gotten my last document but....
I'm still having fun.

I went days without getting a briefcase. Raise two levels and not even a briefcase to complain about not containing a document. And then reading on here about the people complaining they can't open one of their 40 brief cases or that they're stuck at 9 and can't get the last one. I wish I had that problem.

Next event I'm hoping to be ready to do some serious leveling so I can go after the prize without holding back.

It's a lottery buddy. Funzio nvr guarantee tht whoever spent the most will get all 10. It's total luck. I've been stuck with 8 fr 3 n a half day now

6hrs: 10m: remaining.... still on 9th doc!! I've only been able to find 2 cases today. Doing the cash, gold suggestion to open... nothing but the usually! Today seemed really hard to find a case, PVP and PVM. Only 5 cases in the query remaining. I'm not hunting for more, so leaving it to faith to get that 10th doc. This event seems to favor the lower level people. My lv 34 profile was able to open more cases "Free". So, what do i think about this event? I think we all funded the next Funzio Christmas party!! You better send me an invite! :-)

This is one of the parts of this game that drives me nuts. I have been sitting on 9 for 3 days now. I am trying every hour except the 5 I sleep and sometimes if I wake up I roll over and play. It's insane!!! I couldn't get 10 when they had the boxes either. Was left at 8 and 41 waiting to be opened. Looking at spectra he had greater prizes than I had. Is that because I won't buy gold? I enjoy the rat race but, lacks the chance for a pay-off, unless you buy gold. Yesterday my prizes for 3,5,and 7 changed to something different. Strange are the better than the ones I was given?

Yup. I did stay up till midnight, woke up three times during the night (and got those irritating 'other' prizes such as grunts and $100k cash) AND managed to wake in time for my last go before event expiry (10 minutes from now as I write this) and STILL stuck on 9 documents. :_(

Well, what should I say? Very surprisingly I got stuck again at 9 docs... After waking up every hour till event end and also painfully discovering that hard earned gold at tapjoy doesn't help you a bit I must agree is not a fair contest at all, just a brilliant strategy to rip us out of money.
I finished with 79 briefcases! I wouldn't say this was on chance. Rationally thinking the chance one document is between them is quite high. But in 24h left it was of course totally impossible to open all, except... I would spend tons of real money on gold.
Last time at least the loot units were nice, I was really happy earning them. This time it was "oh no, not this damn Government Patrol/ not again this useless Artillery Gunner". If I was spending money I would be freaking out in rage...
Only the Typhoon Tiger was a cool reward - of course didn't get many of those.
And one more thing, this event was simply 10 times more expensive! What will it be next time, 800k to open a box?

I'm not a happy camper either. Between the boxes and the documents I am going nuts. The price to open was huge compared to the boxes (7,000 vs 77,000+). At the end it was 81,000 to open a box. I spent just over 7.5 million to open these cases to sit on 9 for three days. The one ally is the worst reward in my opinion.
Went up in levels and the rewards changed...missed out on a Hell Soldier.... Some of my allies that use gold finally got 10.
Since iv'e stopped playing Call of Duty on the WII this my only vice, Everyone needs something to monopolize there free time.

In reading other post it sounds like this happened to many people. If we are going to spend real money on this then we should be able to get all 10 easy. I wish they would go back and just give the prize to anyone that had 9 Documents. In the future, leave the chances of getting documents the same, but make it 3, 5, 7, 9 documents as the 3 tiers instead of 3, 5, 7, 10.
