im dropping to 499 now for the sake of it, if you are going to drop to 499 post here lets have a mass 499drop. to see if funzio does anything.

This forum represents at most 2% of the active player list, probably less than that.

So there isn't really anything 'in game' we can do that would in any way register as 'mass'.

Im not to where theres a problem yet so i dont know, but i'd assume at 150+ where the 499 issue really occurs, its quite a lot higher than 2% of the active player list who post on or read this board.

A majority of people over the level 100 are at 499 or lower -_-

I'm at 112 currently, and not having a major problem in finding Thug Life victims.

Anyway, still don't like the idea - you don't clear a rat problem by adding more rats.

I thought it was the other way round, in the 150 - 200 level bracket I see quite a lot of 499's but still see more than enough with 500 to spend 500-600 stam (depending if I level) a day on the thug life goals. I can see if you had low stats ( sub 30k ) it could get hard since most of the 500 players that are lower get beat up quick and are off the list. I had thought this 499 thing was a low level issue, if that is not the case then I guess people are over hyping a very small problem.

I am currently level 151, and 75% of my rivals ranging (average) from 140s to 180s are 499.

hey there are lot of people that read these forums and dont have an account or post.

there is 34494 registered members of the forum wether or not they post or are active.

im sure if this thread gets major attention we could sure make an impact to the game.

as i stand im at 499 members, if you want to drop to post in here and if your just lurking or reading this thread it would be great if you can do it aswell. it will not affect your stats in any noticable way or cause any disadvantge for you gameplay wise.

Actually i've never been a strong anti-499er - it's a viable tactic for those that do it.

But I do find the change from "let's kill them all" to now "let's join them (only for fun of course)" amusing.

Me? I'll just continue to play my way and just suck up whatever Funzio and my rivals throw at me, it's all good.

I just started encountering a noticeably larger 499 crowd yesterday when I hit 123. Prior to that, only the occasional few. I've since hit 124 and the number of people at 499 or less did jump a bit. I have a feeling it will only get progressively worse as my level increases.

I'd have to disagree with having a mass drop to 499. Your account is just that, yours, so I'm not going to try and tell you what to do with it.

I just don't see any point for it. If I'm unhappy with something and hope to see change, why would I then partake in the exact thing I'm complaining about? That would make me a huge hypocrite and tarnish one's integrity.

If everyone in the game dropped to 499, I'd be still stay put at 500, even if it meant getting farmed all day long.

If I thought everybody would do it, I would too. But they won't.

And it is much more pervelent at higher levels. The players are more aware up there.

I'm not sure the 499 problem will continue to be a that big of an issue, I'm at lvl 108 and most of the people on my my rival list are over 500. Their may be a wave coming up that will make the issue of 499 or not moot from the standpoint of being able to find people with 500+ to attack for Thug Life goals.

Of course, none of this resolves the issue of 499ers just p*ssing some forum members off (just in case - I am over 500 - I like the challenge of defending against all comers)

It isn't until the later levels that it really becomes noticeable. I didn't notice any significant increase in 499's until I hit level 23. Even know, at level 124, I don't have a hard time finding people with 500 but as my level increases, so will the number of 499's.

for me, all throughout the 120s, i'd say over half of rivals have 500+.

I obviously have lists like that too, but ones with 60-75% 500s are more common.

My lists suck too Think! I keep attacking the same 5 people but when I refresh it a few times I find a new 5 people... Now 5 people are the only 500s on it, soooo the rest are 400s or whatever. I haven't hit a brick wall yet but at the end of lvl 129 it does pose a question... Am I going to need to get a crap load stronger in stats to compete soon???

I'd say you probably want to have your defense at 50,000 by the time you hit level 142. That's the point where the really high level players can get at you. At 50,000 def, you can fend off about 85-90% of those players. The ones that have attack of 150,000 or more...well you're just screwed, be nice to them & maybe they'll add you so you don't have to deal with them.

If you drop to 499, for any reason, you are a rat - no exceptions, no validations.

This is the correct way to deal with our Rat problem...
