Mine is Anthony Brown.

He rocks!

(plus I know he has a Ł20 itunes card burning a hole in his pocket)

(not that that would ever sway my decision)

That wasn't my point. Thats a whole different thread!

But...

sport/spôrt/
Noun:
An activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others.

So... yes. It is.

If you go off the dictionary definition... then yes I suppose.

I would say chess is a no. Picking up a chess piece and moving it on a board is hardly exertion. Exertion typically refers to strenuous effort. Chess is a board game!

but what if they are really big and made of lead? the mental exertion should compensate for lack of physical exertion :P

i think they are all pub games, rather than sports, but snooker maybe not so much? or just a glorified pub game?

I would consider them games myself... but by definition they are sports.

Except for chess.

That's a game.

(Unless they are really big pieces made of lead)

(then its a sport)

Bruiser

Thanks JC but I can assure you I didn't play as well this afternoon to put myself in that category lol. I do admire Geoff Ogilvy as his swing is so pure and has helped me along so much. We played juniors together and have a great friendship.

He's no Bruiser though! How many level 2 night clubs has he got?

I think I will go with Ian Woosnam. 4'10' tall, former Golden Golves boxer, and smokes darts on the course.

My kind of golfer.
