Attack/Defense Problem?

How do you guys increase your mafia attack/defense score? I'm lv. 63 at $27,527 per hr, 169 mafia members and have a 1892 attack and an 2343 defense. Literally everyone in my lv has a highest score EVEN PEOPLE WITH LESS MAFIA! WHAT I'M I DOING WRONG??!!

Without knowing your inventory, I'd guess the buildings, inventory you have could be better? I don't know.
Have you looked over all the cheat sheets? Here is one but, I'd say your strategy maybe needs review.

Buildings are the wrong way to go for increasing your defense score. You need to invest in some RP items. To do that you need to win some PvP matches. To do that you need to lower your total mafia and get into a lower bracket. At lower levels, without spending gold, you need to just grind it out.

Two lv. 3 Dominican Restaurants, two lv. 2 Lofts, two lv. 2 Beachside Inns, lv. 7 warehouse, two brownstones, lv. 10 basketball court, lv. 1 wholesale warehouse, two lv.1 flower shops and then the little buildings (tattoo shops, pizza parlors laundromats etc....)

I would start farming Rusty M4A1's... 7/11 att/def weapon, will get your stats up. Or if you need cars, go for the Devillish Taxi 6/5

Both can be found in the Junkyard.

Flattened Cars for the Taxi
Blue Scrap Box for the rusty

When you can go to Boardwalk (don't remember what level you have to be):
Shooting Game Booth (all the way to the left, building #3 from the corner) will also drop the rusty m4a1
