I've opened 4 Contraband. Somehow I have 5. I never had a message about having opened a fifth Contraband, and I didn't get confirmation that I received the Deviant Rifle. I had to check to see that I do have it.

All attempts using cash, I got 5 contraband within the first 12 hours of the event. It's happening pretty fast this time, but I suspect the 10th contraband will be as elusive as the 10th diamond and 10th emerald. So I'm not getting my hopes up. Any item I get is a bonus. And the pathmaker's bonus feature is pretty lame compared to the emerald burner's free banking.

I just received the skull smasher drop rates seem reasonable yet, is there anyone around 8 or 9 yet? I'm hoping the drop rates stay reasonable especially after the emerald burner that event was a disaster

Do I ever feel lucky! Got the first 7 within the first 24 hours in 14 try's . Took the next day to get #8(11 try's but
Did get a lot of good value loot) then today first 6 try's nothing, then received 2 in a row for 9 & 10!! The entire process I used 2 cash 1 gold, 2 cash 1 gold ect. I never got more then 8 in the last 2 events using the same system.

1 to 7 is fairly easy, not to hard at all compare to previous wall safe event.
droprate for boss bag is decently good. Try not to spend gold from 1-7.

Still at 6. Nothing the last 2 days. Granted, I forgot my iPad at work Monday afternoon and Tuesday evening I was out most of the night, so between those two days I probably missed out on maybe 15 opening opportunities. Just like the previous 2 events, as long as I get 7 and and get the skull smasher I'll be happy. 10 contraband never crossed my mind. However, I'm severely disappointed in my loot gains though. I've pretty much gotten **** so far. Seems like a 75% fail rate with the middle option. Maybe it just seems that high but I've received very little loot. 1 skull shotgun, couple fish gutters, I think two 500 RP and one $125,000. Substantially worse loot for me this time around.

For me the drop rate has diffidently dropped as the event as progressed, but on average still seeing better results than the Emerald event and the loot drops for me way better. The Pimp low riders, have gotten around 5 off them and the same Skull shotguns. The in game cash open investment for me as been good for these items alone.
Also got 8 contraband, not expecting(but would be nice) to reach 10 contraband.

Would have like more RP on opens but cannot complain with the lot that I have gained

Hmmm...the disparity is somewhat interesting to me. It seems like many of you are saying this event has been much better in terms of loot, while others say it's been worse.

Without a doubt, this has been my least successful event so far. We'll see what happens, but again...if I get 7 I'll be happy and even though my extra loot gains have been minimal it'll still be well worth the less than $1,000,000 I'll end up spending to get 3 good weapons along with very few extra stuff plus enough RP to buy myself 3 chain whips.

Not complaining...just pointing out that the past events treated me much better than this one so far.

Today I switched to free option and am having great succes with opening. Out of about 10 tries only 2 fails.
MW is a different story, I keep on blowing cash and only 3 opens today out of 10 or so.
No contraband/briefcases today, but don't care since I am at 7 and 8 respectively, and more than happy with what I got.

Thinking about switching to free option for MW too, just for the heck of it.

No contraband in two days - got #7 early on day 3. Still stuck at 7, don't expect to get any further (stayed at 7 for 10 days if you combine the first two diamond events- Universal and HD). Happy with loot and the 3 items I got for getting 7 contraband. Same point on MW as well.

I've got 6 so far and have only used the free option. I've also gotten a bunch of money and other cool loot. Not keeping track but a guess would be that I'm running about 20% success rate. I know it will get harder, but I don't give myself an ulcer when the pay option doesn't work. Cool stuff for free makes it even cooler. :)
