Question about levelling up too fast

I know there is a danger in levelling up too fast. How do you know when you have - is it when you cannot win ANY fights or when your win/loss ratio starts to change? Or is it something else?

here are my stats -

Jobs Completed - 1851
Fights Won - 1381
Fights Lost - 727
Robberies Won - 2170
Robberies Lost -434

# of Mafia Members - 140
# of Weapons - 586
# of Armor - 230
Total Mafia Attack - 3227
Total Mafia Defense - 3883
Income per Hour - $11,404

Basically I am concentrating on building, expanding and trying to improve my stats. I am currently doing my 400K hood expansion. When it is finished I will buy a 2nd Beachfront Inn and then possibly either a Brownstone or Flower Shop. My Movie Theatres are both at Lvl 2 and I will be increasing those. Probably will purchase Loft after the next hood expansion.

I did work towards map goals when I started but have stopped doing that except for winning streaks and attack/defense type goals. I do a fair bit of robbing - to support my expansions......lol
My energy usually goes towards farming certain items.

Any suggestions for improvement would be appreciated - and are my stats OK for my level or should I stay here for a while?

It all depends on the number of mafia, and level. At lower mafia numbers you can get away with lower stats.

I look at it this way. If I go for a PvP rampage and see a significant number (20%) of people with the stats that make me think twice before attacking, I slow down.

If you invest respect points well then you cannot level too fast, iv got to 118 in a fee months from 1 and my stats are soeof the strongest for my level, I dot use gold but if you farm and do thug life goals your stats will go up fast, keep it up :)

IMO you can never level up too fast. Keep using all your pvp points, and your stats will stay in an acceptable place. Farm as intelligently as possible with 100% of your energy, no story lines. Build for cash, not defense, except lvl 1 gatlings and eventually launchers.

If you are going to gold, start w./ the church and up, save the smoke shops, and also ice creams for low levels.

I was originally using my RP's on Mustangs - then went to Yamaha bike - and then I invested in NVB's and just recently the Chain Whips opened up so I am staying with those and NVB's probably.

Well funny enough - actually NOT - I had just started getting the lovely M4's when it hit the fan - but I have a few and I am pursuing rusties now....
I also found another few interesting items that I like for my level and I am reviewing the loot spreadsheet from time to time. So much to do - so little time - my job is interfering with this..........lol

as for Gold buildings - have the ice creams and the smoke shops - love my SS's - and I got the Blues Club - just because I had some leftover gold - and it's pretty - what can I say - I want both money and good looks for my hood.

I like the suggestion of scoping out your rivals stats! You want to always be atleast two steps ahead of the majority of your rivals so that you never have to look over your shoulder every night before you sleep ;)

As an example, my stats are around 6,000k for both attack and defense at level 42 with basically a fully equipped mob. This allows me to be very comfortable with attacking and defending against evil-doers!!!

holy crap im 48 and only 1800/3400!!! To be fair I followed the story and spent every penny buying useless crap to follow the story line and I've finally got up enough defense to keep stop the constant raid on my high level buildings, Currently im camping my level untill I can afford to buy my attack above my current rivals.

To be fair I followed the story and spent every penny buying useless crap to follow the story line and I've finally got up enough defense to keep stop the constant raid on my high level buildings, Currently im camping my level untill I can afford to buy my attack above my current rivals.Well coming up this time, a lot of people have decided to camp out and build and Im taking about levels 5-40 so I had a lot of ripe g****s to pluck at when it came to buying equipment.

I wouldn't say you've done anything wrong. I'm very weak compared to many in my ranks. Just cover your butt.
Collect your money. Wisely attack to earn RP and build a good arsenal to maintain. Or... do something else.

You're not doing anything wrong. G wiz is the prototype of a player who found the forums before he started his game. (his account was reset). You found the forums at a later date, therefore your stats will be weaker than his, even with the level difference. I can't brig myself to start over, but it would probably be a good thing.

I see. Well I will just keep plugging away - I have enough money for the loft now. I wasn't going to buy it yet but I just reviewed tramp's economy sticky again and I see he recommends to get it ASAP and then go back and buy other buildings. Not sure but I think I will go for it

I just noticed that in my rival list I can only see my level plus the 1 below. I thought you were supposed to see 1 level above ( I know the spread is larger later on )
I'm just confused as to what I can't see the level above me - I thought that I used to but can't remember

yea i started a new account after i found my lost ipod touch about 5 days ago and you would be shocked how many people are camping between 10-22 (current level) however if you know when to add more mobsters and what you should invest your respect points into its really easy to take on almost all of these low level campers because other then respect equipment everything is junk vs my main camping at 48 can become extremely strong with enough money coming in.
