Funzio, why not go all out on the scam and have everyone get to 9 emeralds by the last day and then watch the gold purchases pile in trying to get that tenth. Hey, I had fun with this event even if I don't get the burner, or green piece, or whatever the weapon is at your level. I have 9 stones (all done with cash) but I don't think my chances are very good for the drop of the last one. This game kept me very entertained and the only complaint I have is my lady might not be as happy with me as she was before because of my dedication to cash openings every hour, but that is life I guess. If Funzio wants to throw me a bone and drop me one last emerald, that would be super, or maybe CCMark can just drop me one as little 1s and 0s over the airwaves. Either way, I had fun with it.

i Know a player who spent more then a vault of gold and she didnt get the 10th stone, she told me she cried to funzio and they gave her 150 gold for free to try again !!
I also tried with gold give me my last 2 stones pls !
For me i am stuck at 8 for 4 days and have tried with gold but the only thing i get is stupid items like 25k or a widow maker or fire truck haha.

No this event is a failure, with the lockbox event it cost me also 450 gold to get the Sig but this 1 i knew Funzio wouldnt alow us to get it for at least under 2000 gold.
People who say they got it with only cash option i dont believe, it is for funzio so simple to make that not happen haha.

This really is a scam, especially for the more serious players.

I got to my 7th emerald with more than 3 days remaining. I then got to my 9th emerald with around 30 hours to go and I'm still on my 9th emerald with only about 3 hours to go until the event ends.

In short, I'm very disappointed. The event is rigged so that only those who purchase massive amounts of gold will reach the 10th emerald.

I understand that Funzio generates its income through gold-purchases but as a serious gamer, I find the policy of punishing regular players who don't buy gold unethical.

Well just to show how lucks works, after I posted this I decided that I would finish using up the gold I had brought and in the next 5 tries I got the last 3 emeralds. So the first 7 I got with in game cash and the last 3 took 570 gold. Guessing was just lucky. Might buy a lotto ticket this weekend :-)

New player here, who missed the lockbox event. I got to 6 emeralds in 2 days, the first four using the free method, the rest with game money. I would conceivably have spent gold to finish the event, within reason (say $15 or $20), except that I saw the post by the guy on the second day of the event saying it cost him $600+ to get the tenth emerald. Now at this point I'm not sure who I despise more- Funzio, or the guy who wasted so much money on something so utterly pointless. At least I can say that Funzio has found a successful business model. Making money is the whole point of a business enterprise, right? Not that I condone the way they're suckering and scamming all their dedicated players, mind you, but hey- caveat emptor. But throwing away that much money on such a trivial aspect of a trivial game when there are so many non-trivial demands for our money in this life is just ludicrous. In any case, I can not now fathom spending rm on this game, which is a shame, 'cause I enjoy it and would support this company if they showed some scruples.

Ultimately, you really think so? I mean look at the comments on this thread. Out of all the pages of feedback, I've seen maybe one post that could be taken as "positive". Overall, everyone is unhappy and I've seen the word "scam" more times than I can count in this thread alone. As a whole, it looks like the vast majority of the spenders and serious players are very dissatisfied with not just the events and odds, but all of the recent happenings in the game.

All the serious spenders I know are either spending much less than usual or not spending at all at the moment. I know for a fact that a lot less gold was spent on this event than the last event by forum members and any non forum members who are serious players. Almost every single player who I know spent a significant amount in attempts to get the diamond sig did not spend ANYTHING on this event. People are getting a little smarter it seems.

At this pace, my prediction is that there will be a few significant in-game changes for the better pretty soon, OR if not, in relatively short order they will lose a LOT of their hardcore customers (who spend often) as well as so,eoccasional spenders and non spenders. If the changes come too late, I could see a lot of those people having already quit by that time. Once you've lost a significant amount of players that are putting the vast majority of the money in your pockets, it's hard to get them back or fill their places.

Vince from lvl 167 here. First post. Just thought I'd share my experience and put in my two cents.

I didn't get the Emerald Burner. In the end I spent about 4500 gold and ended up with 9 emeralds. I had to stop because I ran out of safes by the time the event ended!

The events are a simulated form of gambling where you can, however, spend, and lose, real money. There should be a warning to parents and to gamers in general for this new type of game. Also Funzio should let players know what the odds of getting emeralds actually are, so we can gamble responsibly.

In the end it's players who are responsible for what they spend not Funzio. There are a lot of negative comments. I feel some of the negativity is justified in particular because the odds of getting the 10 emeralds appear to have been substantially scaled back compared to the diamond event. Just look at how few players in game have the Burner compared to the Sig. I feel misled because my expectation was the Burner would be as easy to get as the Sig, save only the gold cost of opening safes and resetting the timer had gone up 50% to 15 gold from 10 gold.

Bottom line is I won't be spending gold on future events because in my experience, 4500 gold later, it's not worth it. That's my personal decision.

Amongst all the whining, unpleasant vitriol and dross being posted some sense at last...Synergy you are spot on with these comments. Now, we just have to wait to see what transpires.

On a personal note, thus far I have willingly expended a fair amount of RM on this game. I don't feel sorry or bitter for doing that since I've derived a lot of enjoyment from it over the past 6 months. Plus, I'm grown up enough to be able to afford it, and also to make the judgement call on whether I want to spend the RM. But this event was the final straw as I think players were well and truly exploited beyond what could be considered reasonable. And don't get me started on the M4 and DD nerfs which IMO were wholly unnecessary and removed a fun component of the game for a lot of players - even though I found it boring at tims, having now gone back to the maps in hidsight I think I'd be just as happy farming. Especially since the map rewards really suck to high heaven!

Therefore, I have placed all further RM expenditure on hold until we see something tangibly positive back in return. If not, then I will abstain from spending RM on any further events, and I suspect so will a lot of other players.

I remember something like as soon as the first people got to 7 diamonds in the first event everyone figured it out.

I spent gold on both, 2 vaults on this one. I can afford it, I am a big boy. I knew it was gambling, but I used the information I had from the previous event expecting the same open rates in this event. My bad.

Now that I have seen the rates from this event, I have new information in my head, information that tells me that spending any real money on these events is a complete waste. I tyhought when the time came I would spend the gold to get 2 Palm Hotels. Now I am not sure I want anything that the gold has to offer. Has anyone else that plays PvP seem to be getting better loot today now that the event is over? Perhaps it's just luck, but I think I've used about 60 stamina on attacking players this morning and have gotten an M72 rocket launcher, armored police car, skull shotgun, 2x police armor then the other useless crap. Nothing insanely crazy, but rarely do I get too many decent loot items from PvP in such a short period of time.
