Is there any in-game stat advantage between inviting allies to join your mob or to accept invites to join other mobs?

I don't think there is, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

If you plan on controlling your mafia size, then accepting is the way to go. If you don't care about maria size, then spam invites like crazy.
