Not normally but if you have over 1000 mafia a glitch occurs where you can see people in your mob in your rivals list.

I would wager the same. Not knowing how many people would partake in the game, I'm sure the developers' concern was that a player would add more mafia then there were opponents, and in a perfect storm-type scenario, there would be no rivals. By freeing up your own mob as rivals, you eliminate that scenario from occurring. Game feature, not bug.

I freguent my "friends" hoods and have seen many comments that go like this: "Hey, we're in the same mob...why you attacking me?" I don't know if someone is on my friends list when I'm attacked, I just retaliate.

Now that everyone on this forum knows it's unnecessary to have over 500 mafia, why would anyone want to have 1000 or more? I peaked out at 900 once, but once I know it's not needed, I'm down to around 550 right now.

What gets me are the serial spammers that post their number on my wall 5+ times a week, you go look at their stats and they suck but they have 7000 mafia.

I just told one d-bag that maybe if they spent as much time on improving their hood/stats as they do trying to get a large mob that doesnt help them then they might be able to compete. No reply yet.

They must spend more time in our hoods posting the codes then in their own. I saw one guy brag that he played every five minutes and was "super strong". Added him, he had less than 1000 defense at level 55!
