Deleteing Defence Buildings Yes or No?

I currently have 43 Gaurd Towers 3 of which are level 6 and the rest are level 5. I built them during my long absence from the forum when the discussions of the actual use of defence buildings were valid or not occured. The big question, should I keep them or delete them, I am a Goodfella if that does factor into the decision. Thanks in advance,

Depends. If your losing lots of fights and robs, then I wouldn't delete them just yet. Now if you need space for a money building, then of course sell some. Just keep selling them when you need the space. No point in selling a bunch for no reason, no matter how small they contribute. Wouldn't want to throw all that time you put into them into the trash without a good reason.

Once I could buy the Gatlings, I gradually replaced my Abandoned Buildings and Guard Towers with them. Their level 1 defense is good and you can fit lots of Gatlings in the space taken up by those other defense buildings.

Your reasoning is valid I like that. But I'm starting to get the feeling that I'm not needing them, I havnt had a red feed in my news for over 3 weeks, (that excludes payam robbing me twice).

Well my fast named friend, I was tired of losing out to robberies and attacks then and there. To further that feeling, I always had to calculate or ask someone stronger than me to attack me to reveal my true defenses which seemed to be "extra" work as I was losing anyway, so I simply deleted every building of defense and was left with an actual defense.
If you beat me then, well, you deserved to beat me.

Jeez, man. Did she not give back your signed Kenny G CD or something? My last GF never gave back mine and I call her the exact same series of names. Just wondering if the same thing happened to you.

Ghost, do it. I deleted eight (I think) level 6 Guard Towers and 1 level 7 Abandon Building. I saw absolutely no difference in the attack/robbery success rates from rivals. I recently built 10 Gatling Turrets to fill in a lot of 2x2 voids that were showing up. I don't regret deleting all those defense buildings. It was one of the better moves I've made, actually.

i gotta agree with mr.fox, if your thinking about selling i would trade them out for either Gatling or missile
turrets. I have 24 lvl 4 Muay Thai's, 50 Gatlings (28 lvl 2) and starting to build Missile turrets (3)
Last i checked they contributed about 2000 more to my actual DEF.

Side note i think the forum is starting to liven back up since our couple latest departures,
lot of good post with a lot of members making contributions. :)

Ghost, I just saw your hood. That's a lot of Gaurd Towers, my good man. Are you compensating for something? ...none of my business. You definitely need to dump them in favor of better defense buildings, if any at all. Delete them at the same rate you build new ones if it's a concern, but even then, you are using a massive chunk of very valuable real estate for something that arguably gains you very little.

Let's say you outfitted that entire area with good income buildings. If most of your hood got robbed, I would wager that the gains you'd see from the new income buildings for the losses. This is highly speculative analysis though.

I've gotten rid of my guard towers since a level 10 guard tower will only provide you with 16.5 defense against attacks. I'm also in the process of phasing out my Bodyguard Agencies and replacing them with snipers dens and surveillance centers. Buying and leveling those stupid Bodyguard agencies was the biggest mistake I've made playing crime city.

You gotta ask someone to attack &/or rob you and tell you what the scores are. If you have a second account on another device and you are in the same rival list you can attack/rob yourself. (Yes players do that).

I would say keep em until you need the space. All the while, in between money buildings, building gatling til 50 and then turrets.

My hood has weeded out crappy buildings and all but 1 tower. I have room for my casinos, but I will be expanding in a few weeks just for lvl 1 d buildings.

Lvl 1s still conform to gwiz's d rule which i like too.

Yeah I built em during my absence from the forum, didnt really know what I was doing I was just farming M4s all day lol I have actually never camped a day in this game and I've always well above average in the people my level. YES even before I bought crates, im sure that was gonna be brought up lol.
