Any reason to hide levels on buildings vs turning this feature off?

I know many people like to strategically arrange their money buildings to hide what level they are, why do people not just turn this feature off in the settings so there are no numbers associated with buildings?

Because that doesn't turn off the numbers for other players viewing your base.

Wow! Don't I feel like a wizard. I turned it off when I first started playing because I didn't want rivals to be able to see my levels!
All this time and had no idea this was an absolutely worthless button???? Why even include the stupid thing!
