yes. i have been camping. i didn't want to get attacked by lvl140+ players. now that there is a change in rival list, i'll probably go up to lvl 125 (access to gents club :)). as you correctly guessed, the decrease in defense is due to explosive consumption. i haven't bothered to replenish. it's funny that i'm winning most fights, but still keep on losing explosives. regarding my income, i just built a hotel and will get a second one next week. i love 12/24/48 hrs and i wish there were more of them.

See I see all you HL players stats, and think back to the lvl 106 player I just passed with 900k/hour income. Can it really be legit?

Coming from someone who has focused heavily on economy from the very beginning, I don't think this would be possible for someone at lvl 106 playing legitimately, unless they were using real money to buy a lot of gold and a lot of in game cash that they were using solely for buildings. There's just not enough time to acquire the funds for the buildings needed, the funds for the upgrades, and for all the wait times for the upgrades to play out. I'm 98% sure that wouldn't be possible by level 106 without spending A LOT of real $.

If I received 200 requests, I would consider that. I rarely send requests because I want to see the impact adding each mafia member has on my stats, and can't do that if I send requests; I want to make sure I am equipping all members. I can tell you that I'm short 32 vehicles currently and have a suspescion that I'm using some pretty crappy melee and armor for the last of my mob, but haven't done the math on those yet. So for the time being, it's in my best interests not grow as I would be adding members for marginal gains while pitting myself against more powerful players with fully equipped mobs.

EDIT: let me rephrase that. It helps with the equipping of armor and melee on a short term basis, eventually when you reach 120s and + they will slowly become obsolete.

On the fight for loot discussion above... I found some benefit to fighting, but generally it was only worth it when I could progress Fight Goals - and as Tramp mentioned somewhere, preferably while stacking them to progress two Fight Goals simultaneously. Otherwise, I defaulted to robbery, with a massive slant toward Respect. I didn't even notice passing 30,000 robberies a while back - it's just so ingrained as my modus operandi.

I recall reading previously one or two experienced players charge that "folks who rob" are generally weaker than those who fight, but I would respectfully disagree based on my experience so far. It's certainly possible that I have another think coming once I pass that HL threshold. But so far I find that I average more RP by robbing, it keeps my XP gain low, and that in comparison the PVP loot is generally too slow to come, and too inconsequential (versus M4 A1 and RP goodies) to focus on fighting over RP-robbery.


The key insight I'd like to share for anyone interested is that the farming/RP-robbery path has kept me in the top 5%, steadily gaining levels (not too fast, not too slow), and that compared to a huge swath of my rivals, I have a ton of "room to grow" in my stats, which many of them do not similarly enjoy at this point.
I'm still using junk like crowbars at the bottom end. With 300+ NVB, I'm still not even topping out at boxing trunks. At 22k/22k the PVP loot I do get are still adding to my stats, whereas the rivals who capped out on the common loots 20 levels ago are nearly standing still in that sense. Plus, for every Chain Whip I buy, I'm getting +23/+16, where many of my rivals are getting considerably less due to replacing butterfly/nailbats.

I am basically warning that if you rely too much on PVP fights too early on (or for too long), you may find that you've wound yourself into a false sense of security regarding your overall mafia atk/def numbers. This will not apply to everyone of course, and it's not like there's some massive danger here, just an effect to be aware of that I haven't seen enumerated here much, if at all. It's my perspective anyway - treat it as you will.

I think I intended to mention but didn't, that as M4 A1 farming has progressed from a new thing, to a recommended thing, and ultimately now to a near-prerequisite for any halfway-serious player, the impact of the previously 'prerequisite' mid and high/mid level PVP loot accumulation strategy has possibly also changed.

That's not to say it's a bad strategy - it's just not as impactful (or seemingly necessary) as it was before level 30+ M4 A1 farming became the gold standard.

Thanks, dude. I hadn't done the math, but I knew it was a big jump this week. I didn't realize it was 36%. :) Unfortunately, I feel that I've picked all the low-hanging fruit, and like you, next week is going to show some abysmal growth for me. I just started a 73 hr upgrade and a 36 hr build with the hope that it gives me time to save for Upscale Clubs. We'll know next week.

Sixth week of no-banking. Ramshutu broke my six-week winning streak with a successful robbery against one of my lofts. He got away with $14K, but what's more painful is that he ended my streak. LOL. Well done, Ramshutu.

EDIT: Thanks for digging this up, Ramshutu. I was just prepping my stats for this week's update. Also, I like your att/def per member stat, so I stole and implemented it. I'm too lazy to calculate the percentage increase though. Cheers.

Synergy, I'll shortly be joining you in the Million Per Hour club of 2 of us. I've a very specially designed Hood if you look closely at my building clusters. I use my hourly's and 3 hourlys as Explosives funds and if anyone really wants to rob me, and they have explosives, I'll just evens burn the explosives on both sides in battle till one of the rivals runs out. That won't be me. Synergy shall we join forces, I'd never want to attack you or rob you, as if robbing is really relevant at this income level :-)
