Lockbox still going?

Started with 4 diamonds ended with 5 (and several cash loots, mafia members, etc). But I thought it ended already? I opened the lock box event on iPad and now timer just says ending soon?

If you leave it running, the event will keep going. I left it running last night, woke up and could still open boxes. I was planning on just keeping it running indefinitely until I HOPEFULLY got my Sig. The gods must have been against me. My game crashed for the first time in like a month. Obviously when I booted the game back up the event had ended like it should have.

So, I started the event with 9 diamonds...went the entire event plus a few extra opens today through cheating and didn't get one stinking diamond. The odds of getting the 10th diamond must be 1000/1. Anybody that got it was extremely lucky.
