View Full Version : > 1000 mafia implications?

I have an existing mafia member who has sent several new add requests since joining my mob because he has seen me in the rivals list. The first time I just thought something weird had happened. This last time, I checked my mafia list first and saw that he is indeed still in my mob.

I believe I've seen in the past a reference to a player with > 1000 mafia maybe being able to attack members of his mafia. I checked his stats, and he does have 1000+ mafia.

So now I'm wondering if having > 1000 mafia does actually allows a player to attack members of his mafia. If so, then there's probably no reason to have players like that in your mob since you can't attack them. Has anyone else run across this?

Bingo!, I have had the same thing going on as of this morning. In addition Swifty has personal first hand experience as a player with more than 1000 that generated a glitch.

Wait for Swifty to get with you. The information is more accurate coming from a horses mouth so to speak.

Yes, this is a valid feature of the game and not a BUG or exploit llike some people think it is. If you have 1000+ mafia, you can attack and rob your own mob (as they show up on your rivals list), and if they have less they can not attack or rob you back.

Wow! So then there is no point, and in fact it is stupid, to include in your mob folks with > 1000 mafia.

Edit: Well, I guess this only factors in if you are at similar levels or in the HL ranks. If you wouldn't appear on each other's rivals list, then it makes no difference. Still, I may have to check out my mob members that are at a similar level now and see if any fall into this category.

I was unaware of this other feature of mafia over 1000.

The only one I know of firsthand is the "ghost mafia" bug which sometimes happens if you have over 1000 mafia and delete to under 1000 mafia.

Then you cannot see your mafia, and thus cannot visit your mafia.

When I had over 1000 mafia, none of my mafia ever appeared on my rivals list.

I also think when you add me in your mafia for example, then if you delete me I wont see you in my rivals list cause you will still be in mine, YET you will see me in yours cause you never deleted me, I read this somewhere but I am not 100% sure if its true. Who understand the mechanics of this game -_-

What a coincidence! I am looking for goaltendings and hellbroth!

Swifty

Hellbroth with a shot of absinthe.

Then you cut off one of your own ears.

I actually had Absinthe tonight. The 148 proof one.

All I have is the Kubler (Swiss 106 proof). And my ears are still OK.

Come on, man, you know the story of Van Gogh, right?

So now I'm wondering if having > 1000 mafia does actually allows a player to attack members of his mafia. If so, then there's probably no reason to have players like that in your mob since you can't attack them.

there are 3 options available to you.
1) ditch the b@st@rd.
you have alluded to this in your post.

2) if you can't beat them, join them.
increase your mafia size to 1000 and more, then fight back.

3) do nothing.
you check your opponents stats and find out that he's too strong to retaliate. in such cases, just ignore him. dropping him from your friend list doesn't guarantee that you won't take another beating in the future. so why bother with going through the motion of deleting him from your mob.

The painter Van Gogh. He was an enthusiastic drinker of Absinthe. Then he cut off his own ear.

It is generally regarded as not a coincidence.

whoosh.

P.S. Van Gogh was insane.

Swifty
02-25-2012, 10:12 PM
Yeah, but he was OK before he started with the Absinthe.

Tramp Stamp

Do you typically blame drug abuse for people's insanity?

Swifty
02-25-2012, 10:20 PM
Not typically, but Van Gogh was a special case.

And I started drinking Absinthe because of Van Gogh.

But my ears are still OK.

This conversation cracked me up! And Swifty, glad your ears are still okay...

(absinthe and van gogh as topics starting from a bizarre spam post - lol)
