With EXACTLY 2600 members you are sure to rule. But you got to equip them well to be real strong!
Start of by farming 2600 m4a1's. That'll be a headstart above the rest!

On a more serious note, only go above 1000 mafia if you are committed to staying above 1000.

Going above 1000 and deleting below 1000 might trigger the dreaded "ghost mafia" bug (it did for me).

Then you will not be able to see (and thus will not be able to visit) your mafia.

They are also a pretty dang good buy from a gold perspective. Two reasons for this: 1) they are non-consumable, unlike their cash counterparts, so sustaining cash equivalent explosives is near impossible and 2) they have the third highest total points per gold for non-crate items, or at least the Fortune Teller does. The best six crate items take the top six slots, followed by the Combat Belt at 1.300 points/gold, the Skull Breaker at 1.267 points/gold, and then Fortune Teller at 1.160 points/gold. I would say anything above 1.1 total points/gold is a decent ratio since items with those stats make up less than 1/3 of the gold offerings.

Ah... You seem to have made an error. You need 2601 mafia members in order to rule the game mate. Must have been a typo. It's common knowledge is that. Everyone know it. It's common knowledge. Yes. 2601 mafia needed to rule the game.
