Also, is it better to keep expanding or at some point stop and just sell lower buildings??? As of now I have yet to sell any buildings, my level is 96 and my income is 50k and I am getting ready to buy the 5 million dollar expansion

I sold all my ****ty buildings because alot of them have like no income and they take up space so if you dont have much room in ur hood then sell ur crap buildings so u have room for better buildings.

Qwet - Defintely sell at that income level. If you have up to the 5M expansion you have a large hood... with some bad buildings at 50k.

You should be able to go until at least lvl 135 without another expansion unless you are littered with defense buildings. Maybe not even until 165 until the Palms.

I will send an invite and take a look if that would help. Im a lvl 148.

qwert, erik is correct. definite sell based on the stats you've listed. I'm lvl 104 with $97k/hr and I'm still waiting for a compelling reason to buy the $500k expansion. I clear well over $500k in a single shot whenever my 12 hour buildings are sync'd and many times have considered finally buying that next expansion to avoid giving $50k to the bank. But it still has never been worth it to me so far. I have just shed myself of low-value type-B buildings instead, and not very many at that.

If you want to take a peek, it's 657 562 199, but here's the gist,
- Type-A buildings, basically all of them, mostly leveled around (4-7), no nightclub yet
- Gold buildings, just a smoke shop (4)
- Type-B "special" buildings, Doms (5) Beachside Inns (4) Comedy (2) Upscale (1)
- Type-B standard buildings, i have several, but almost all are at level 1

A few of those Type-B standard buildings are leveled to 2 or 3 basically because of timing issues where it was convenient to level something for a few hours, but any of these buildings can be sold at any time. I still have a warehouse taking up space even!!! That will get deleted in a heartbeat, but i don't need the space yet. Same with my meat factories and sports bar. I've never sold a Type-A building yet, but am close to doing that with my gas stations, if needed. I'll keep things like Internet, Crem, Brownstone, and higher, eventually leveling them someday i suppose.

But in general all of the earlier Type-B (non-special) buildings are considered to me as temporary investments. I put the full price down, they return that and more over time, and when I sell them I get 50% back. If you upgrade them vs the more permanent or at least strategicly-sequenced buildings (3 and 6 hour type-A's) the full 167% (and progressively more) of upgrade cost is entirely sunk with no eventual retrieval.

Oh and I almost forgot to mention I have none of the 18 hour buildings. Those could have been profitable for me, and should have been built, i just never did and am not planning to. They should be highly considered though.

I think it is time to start selling some of your junk buildings. I spent some time look at the hourly income of some of by buildings. I realized that I had about 10 buildings that put out less than $100 per hour of income. I quickly sold them and think it was the right choice. It would have taken me ages of collecting from those buildings to justify my next extension. I would sell both my warehouses before going to the next extension if it came time I needed to make some room.

Just for reference my next extension is 750k and my hourly is currently 91,500

Just look at it the logical way, an expansion is 5 million, you have some buildings that mayby together give you abit over 1000 in cash per day, that would mean that it would take 5000 days to make it worth those 5 million to have them still in your hood, this is if the buildings equal the same ammount of squares as you gain through upgrading, even if it dont, lets say it equals 1/5th of the total number of squares it would still be a 1000 days (3 years) before it would be an advantage to upgrade over selling those low **** buildings

So as long as I am committed to playing the game 15 more years, my beloved low-**** buildings are worth it.

What are the lowest/worst buildings for your hood (a list would be huge). I have that spread sheet for all the buildings but there is no ranking

It's called $/hr/sq. It's all the way at the end.
